So utterly helpless … this is what makes me so fearful for so many small creatures …
yes they are and starling have a habit of making the nest in very easy access places. These are on our log pile. One on a shelf we have outside the nest was demolished,
So can you help protect this nest, Ritva ?
nothing we can do, if we touch it the bird will leave the nest. Last weekend my husband tried three time to place a tiny bird back into the nest, using gloves, but it was thrown out everytime… maybe it was not healty or something,
Sighh … I suppose it’s the cycle of nature. Perhaps too many children for the parents.
You tried, anyway: good on you both !
I love the little tuffs of feathers on their heads. I hope they all manage to fledge.
so do I, thanks for stopping by:-)
awwwwww – wow – and makes me want to whisper my comment – so shhh – nice photo… ❤
shhh – yes. I hope they make it.
Suloisia pikkuisia. Toivottavasti selviävät.
wonderful image.
Interesting aqua light glowing on the beak of the tiny bird. They are so delicate, their skin looks transparent. Awesome photo!
