Our white Sisko cat perched gracefully on a sturdy tree branch, intently observing its surroundings against a clear blue sky. With its keen emerald eyes, it scanned the snowy landscape below, taking in the distant sound of chirping birds, while a gentle breeze swirled around, making its fur flutter like soft silk in the sunlight.

This post is for cat lovers and those who enjoy a bounty of images, showcasing not just her adorable looks but also her personality, which shines through in every snapshot.

For Monday Window, our Veikka was such a cute and cuddly big white cat, with fur so soft and eyes the color of caramel brown. I have a special place in my heart for him. I have so many photos of our cats; these also include windows.

For Bushboy’s Last on the card November. I have two from my Iphone as I just had to share how well mannered Tinka is, no feet on the table 😀 as she has drink from her water bowl.

And a nice cup of coffee is always a treat.

Veikka was a lovely and loved cat, a cherished cat whose striking white fur glistened in the sunlight, making her the center of attention wherever she went; you could not miss her, as she was the size of a small dog. Her gentle purring provided a soothing soundtrack to quiet evenings, and her warm presence filled the hearts of her human companions with an unexplainable happiness. Veikka passed away years ago, but the photos pop up so often when I search my archives; her memory lives on through photographs; she was an inspiring model for me.

A dog with unique blue and brown eyes, alongside a brown nose, appears curious. The image is shared with “One Word Sunday,” emphasizing the word “NOSE.”

I am today also using natural light to cast shadows, as the sun streams through the window, illuminating the room in a warm glow. Tinka was sitting by the window kindly posing for me. She is very thoughtful that way, always in the moment. I liked the way the other side was in the shadow, creating a beautiful contrast that added depth to the vision. The interplay of light and dark not only highlighted her features but also evoked a sense of calm, making it perfect for capturing the shot for the challenge.

I almost posted the wrong shot, without the square crop.

A close-up image captures a cat’s paws gently placed on a wooden surface, highlighting their delicate features and fur texture. The photograph emphasizes the serene and relaxed demeanor of the cat, the beauty in simple, everyday moments.

Some cool farm animals in black-and-white settings tell a vivid story that shows what rural life is all about. You’ve got a cow chilling out in a sunny meadow, horses munching on some fresh grass, and sheep casually grazing in a big field. There’s even a sleepy calf all snuggled up on the ground. Plus, close-ups of a hen hanging out, an ostrich looking all curious, and a gorgeous Highland cow with its fluffy fur make for some pretty awesome portraits. Together, these images highlight the beauty of farm animals just being themselves, inviting us to soak in the peaceful vibe of country living.

We had our youngest grandson (15mo) stay with us for a night so his parents got so time to themselves. This little fella was on the move all the time, so when he went back home we all felt like Tinka. He is the cutest and most lovable little boy, the amount of energy they have is unbelievable 😀 . There is a reason why you have kids when you are young. Yes Tinka is cute too.

For Cellpic Sunday

For Debbie´s Six Words Saturday.

This week promises to be delightful as Elke from pictures imperfect blog has chosen to focus on PETS in monochrome.

And I am always happy to share photos of Tinka. She is a funny little cat with her own ways, but still, you can tell that she likes us, and we really like her. She comes and spends time with us in the living room, sleeping on her own chair or on the ottoman, but to come on the sofa to be petted is something she will not do. Instead, she prefers to stretch out on the rug, then waits patiently to be petted as if she’s subtly hinting at her desire for affection. When l lay on the bed, note i have to be under the duvet, then she will place herself in the nook of your arm on your side and happily purrs whenever she gets all the attention. This does with me often at nights; it’s become a comforting routine. I oftentimes have trouble falling asleep for various reasons—thoughts racing through my mind or tor just discomfort or pain. During these moments, I often find myself waking up throughout the night. Yet, when Tinka comes to me, curling up in that perfect little spot and purring softly, she truly calms me down. I focus entirely on her soothing purrs, and I pet her in a calm way, feeling a sense of tranquility wash over me as I find solace in her presence.

I took these yesterday with my IPHONE so I would have new photos to share, I could have converted many older photos of Tinka and Veikka, but as I do need to find inspiration for new photos, this was a good and pleasant opportunity to do so.

I was softly observing Tinka grooming itself, a tender and instinctual behavior that truly resonates with the essence of what it means to be a cat. It fills my heart with warmth to realize that they invest so much of their day in maintaining their cleanliness and fur; this ritual is much more than a matter of hygiene—it offers them comfort and a profound connection to their environment. Cats are wonderfully clean animals, and in that quiet moment of watching Tinka, I felt a deep wave of appreciation for these simple acts that beautifully reflect the innate grace and tranquility these cherished companions bring into our lives. For Leanne’s Monochrome Madness.

That’s all folks, I give you monochrome ( black and white) images of cows for Leanne’s Monochrome Madness. Hope you enjoy them.

The first one is taken with my new Sony A7 Mark III, I bought it to replace my old one that I had used for the last 19 years. I have been taking lots of photos of my grandkids with it lately.

My IPhone I used to take a shot of one of the white roses I received from my friend as she came to visit.

I also took once again a photo of Tinka the cat 🙀
