This week James of Jazzibee wants us to look up and down; I will demonstrate that’s what I’ve done several times:-)
To see small things you often need to look down. I was really happy find this penguin in its natural habitat – in the nature. A crab on the rocks at a beach, and as well as this little green frog. Turtles. To see Koalas in the nature we found ourselves looking up.

Cities are great places to look up or down. The ones below are from Melbourne.

That’s a great selection, Ritva! I like the shoes hanging from the lamp post. I wonder who lost them. And your sea views and the lighthouse really appealed to me also. Thank you!
Thanks James, One cannot go wrong with sea 🙂
True!
Stunning selection, Ritva, especially the architectural ones!
As always I have several favorites from your amazing array this week Ritva. but you make it difficult to choose as one continues through the marvelous examples. I did especially love your night shots and the twinkling lights above the concourse. And I smiled at the dangling shoes. Well done as always!
The shoes seem to resonate with many. Glad you enjoyed them
Ritva, you make it hard to pick a favorite. These are amazing photos. The beach images resonate with me a lot. They are beautiful. The opening photo with the reflection is captivating. And then you close with Hong Kong. Wow!
Edígio, Thanks. I aim to please 😀
What a wonderful array of images for up and down, Ritva. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I did like the concourse in Hong Kong, the little creatures you found while looking down and the lighthouse mirror with its angles. Well done.
Some of my favorite places, light houses, and nature. And In Hong Kong we were lucky it was a clear night. Thanks Anne!
😊
These are some great photos, Ritva! But my favorites are the frog and the penguin! ❤️
Thanks Lisa, the penguin was a treat, so see it on the shore and not in a zoo 🙂
That would be so amazing to see!
So many favorites, ‘Ritva. The shoe photo is unique and engaging, and favorites include the feature photo and the ocean pool. Always a different look through your lens.
Thanks Donna, I love the sea. Always drawn to it.
Yes…something about the sea.
That’s a great variety of photos. Extremely interesting photos.
Thanks Thomas!
Awesome as always Ritva 😀. The shoes reminded me of Harry Potter scene where Luna is trying to find her shoes 😀. The beach with the kite above – so beautiful!
Yes, I have spotted shows hanging in few places, I think it is some kind of a dare. But I can relate to you.
Oh and I am so happy to see that view of Hong Kong 🥰..when I was there, everything was covered in fog 🤪
we got happy, I got rather nice shots from there.
Great photos Rita. Love the colorful waters, and lawn chairs against grass, but the little creatures are my faves. Well done.
Ritva, not Rita, of course.
No problem, not the most common name.
the animals are something I am very happy to have spotted
Brilliant post, Ritva. Your cityscapes and seascapes galleries are wonderful. Love your puddle photo too!
Love the opening set because you took me in a direction I didn’t expect – so I smiled. Thanks. As always, your photography is a joy!
Love your galleries, Ritva! Always tasty for more when I scroll around. This time it’s the Melbourne photos that stood out to me! Night photos are gorgeous.
