Summer is a state of mind

As stated summer is a state of mind and age is just a number.

Usually we are somewhere in warmer weather at this time of the year, away from the cold and dark winter, we usually fly to catch some sun, D- vitamins and new places to be refreshed and relaxed. And when we come you can already notice the increased light that is more visible in February.

Well you need the catch the rays where every you can. 😂

  1. That’s not for me, Ritva. It’s a “cold spell” here in North Carolina where we went to escape the frigid weather. My only solace is that it’s warmer here than at our home in Fargo. >grin<

      1. Where we are in North Carolina it’s -8 right now, but we are headed for the mountains today where it’s forecast to be about +3C. At least it will be above zero. >grin<

  2. Like you I prefer to escape the cold (even England’s rather less challenging version of it!) but we can’t afford to be away for all of January and February. We usually hang on until the latter month so that we can come back to already lengthening and warming days in March. I can’t imagine ever embracing the cold so readily as this, even if the sun is shining! Kudos to your husband (I assume?) for agreeing to pose for these shots. Unless he’s in the habit of sunbathing in the snow??!!

  3. What a guy! A sense of humor is so important in life. I’m glad it doesn’t snow in Sacramento. Right now, we are in the middle of another atmospheric river storm. Rain is forecasted for the next week. My husband is ready to break out of the house because it’s raining on his astronomy parade.

    1. We have rain now and there is water over ice all over and it it is so hard to walk outside safely…and winter wonderland has been washed away – at least for now. Drizzle is ok, rain important but not so nice
