The recent weather has been quite challenging, with the continuous onslaught of snow. Sadly, this time around, the snowfall was accompanied by warmer temperatures, resulting in wet snow that has ultimately turned into a mix of sleet and ice on the ground. It’s a frustrating situation to witness, especially as we brace for the arrival of below freezing temperatures again on Friday. Winter can be enchanting and picturesque, but it also has a darker, more treacherous side, as evidenced by the slippery ice underfoot.
Admittedly, I’m finding it challenging to appreciate the beauty of the season in moments like these. In fact, I didn’t even muster up the motivation to venture outside to capture photos, opting instead to take them from the comfort of my windows. Now, looking back, I can’t help but chuckle at my own laziness.

No ideal conditions to go out, that’s certain….
Meanwhile, we got 2 storms in a few days and tempereatures around +10°C and lots of rain. Question is, who of us is best off ??
No competition 🙂 equally bad I’m sure 😀
🙂 indeed 🙂
I’ve been down about the cool and wet weather for our monthlong stay in North Carolina, but I’ll take it over what you’re getting. 🙂
Yeah, I’m a big complainer, I just don’t winter. 🥶
Brrrr …. stay warm!
Frank, no problem, we have central heating, and fireplace to keep us warm.
It’s beautiful … but I don’t know if I’ll want to experience it for long periods of time!
No, I azgrtee
I agree, I don’t like cold either
It’s beautiful! Stay warm, dry and safe!
Yes, I’m staying inside 😂
😊
I don’t think you’re being lazy, you’re just staying safe. I would do the same in those conditions!
You may call laziness, Ritva, but I’ll call it preservation. It’s too cold!
Its a warm winter day when the snow is wet 😂
Too funny. A warm drink, a cozy blanket, a hot fire. If that is the case then it is a much better view inside.
Beauty!
We hardly ever get snow in the southern UK any more, perhaps one (for us) decent fall in the early part of the year but some years none at all. Generally here snow is nice the day it falls but because the cover is so light it quickly turns to a wet slushy mess which makes doing anything outside unpleasent. Currently what we do have is rain, lots and lots of rain – now if the amount of rain we’ve had was snow we’d be buried in it.
I am fan of english tv shows 🙂 I am aware it rains a lot there 🙂 because it is always green. Yes, and I follow the news… you do get a lot storms and they do create havoc, that we don’t often get. One thing about our weather is that we hardly ever have really extreme happenings. Thanks for commenting Andy!
