This week’s theme for Monochrome Madness is open, allowing for more flexibility in photo selection. I was drawn to a charming rustic house topped with a corrugated metal roof. Its inviting porch, adorned with a stack of chairs, complements a large tree providing shade right in the front. It simply beckoned me to capture its essence in a photograph – the chairs 🙂 .

When you pull back and take a wider shot, the wholeconsepth of the photo totally changes.

Absolutely—zoomed in, it’s about chairs and charm; zoomed out, it’s suddenly a poetic postcard of life, stillness, and shade. The magic of perspective—tiny details become supporting cast in a much grander rustic play!
Love the monochrome effect!

Thank you Philo. It is the tiny thing that make a photo.
Agree.
A fabulous sequence Ritva that works so well in monochrome 😀 The black chairs make the photos
they do 🙂
Thank you
🙂
A very effective demonstration of how changing our viewpoint can completely change the mood of an image! I have to say I like the first version the best 😀
I like that one too, but it is easy to give just a glimpse of a story and not the whole picture with photos, and that is what I like about it. You can show what caught your eye.
Very true 🙂
I loved the sequence of the series and, of course, the black chairs!
Thank you Anne 🙂
😍

Thanks Sue.

Thank you Margaret
Great!
Thank you Jo
Very nice images.
Thank you Joanne
I like the three views, as you say what you focus changes the futher you get back. Can I ask where this was taken Ritva? It really reminds me of the mudbrick houses that they used to build here in Australia.
Thanks, it was at Coriole vineyard in McLaren Vale in SA
