Possible topics for this weeks CMMC: reservoir, lake, landscape, brown, blue, teal, green, water, green, layers, etc. I think I got most of these covered in this post from Lake Mead, Nevada.
Lake Mead is a reservoir formed by the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River in the Southwestern United States. . It is the largest reservoir in the US in terms of water capacity.

This week for CMMC .

The colour of that water!
It was rather surprising to see. Thanks
welcome
Wonderful series with beautiful colours!
Thanks!
Wow Ritva, beautiful images. It’s too bad that you visited during a time when the lake was so low. But that’s what we deal with here–drought or maybe even sending the water to other areas.
I used to live in Las Vegas in the 1980’s it was a bit fuller then.
😊 How long did you live in Vegas?
About Two years 6 months 😊
I love those expansive views of Lake Mead. Great!
Thanks Egídio
Oh what beautiful photos you have of Lake Mead. :D 😀 Thanks Ritva for playing 😀
Thanks Cee 🙂
Frightening images and yet people continue to carelessly consume water on a large scale….
They do, but I know that Nevada has some laws regarding how much you can for example water your lawn.
In periods of prolonged drought (during the summer months) we also have restrictions regarding water consumption. The regulations are there, but whether they are also monitored is another question. I often still see people watering their lawn.
We are lucky here, we haven’t had drought in Finland, at least seriously. During summer the grass might turn brown for a month or so.
I thought it didn’t look very Finnish! Nice photos, Ritva.
Nothing Finnish about these photos 🙂
🤣💙
Beautiful!
Thanks Nora
Great photos of the lake, but also of the mountains (they look like scoops of ice cream).
