I’d love to visit Pompeii again. They’ve excavated far more acreage and depth than what I saw in 1976. I haven’t seen any of the pottery or statues that you’ve included in this post.
Only in the last fortnight have I been watching YouTubes on recent discoveries about the eruption’s effect on the townspeople. Some of those more recent frescoes that I saw in the video(s) are stunning.
It is rather amazing what has been found in the lava.
