Mirrors: A Visual Journey through Reflection

Mirror theme hosted by Margaret for Leanne’s Monochrome Madness.

“I know that mirrors give us a false sense of confidence.” I continued. “The reflection that we see everyday has nothing to do with how others see us. The glass lies.”

  1. Oh my goodness, Ritva, this is such a great and beautifully observed collection. As I scrolled through, evey photo revealed became my favourite. For its quiet understatement, perhaps I shall return to the simple beauty of the first shot.

  2. Especially love that first photo.
Seeing the woman’s face. As she intently gazes out the window instead of up at the mirror. It makes one wonder what she is looking at.

  3. Fantastic! These are beautiful and thoughtful images, Ritva. Each one made me pause and really think about it. The first one is my favorite.

  4. Wow. Mirror, mirror on the wall …., or car, etc. They all can fool us. The shot of the orb in front of the casino looks like a port to a different dimension.

  5. Mirrors, reflections, and their deceptive charm—such a brilliant theme! These images carry so much depth, pulling one into those quiet moments of self-reflection, nature, and elegance.
The way light and shadow play in these shots is like capturing a fleeting thought.
    Beautifully presented.
