This week, let’s embrace an intentionally defocused interior scene that invites you in. Imagine a bright window or doorway at the center, surrounded by warm golden walls and softly glowing circular lights on either side, creating a comforting atmosphere. I truly appreciate this setup. In the lower foreground, dark, indistinct furniture and architectural forms blend into the background, while cool gray and blue tones gracefully balance the soft amber lighting. The gentle bokeh, heavy blur, and muted composition work harmoniously to evoke a soothing, dreamlike mood that resonates with the feeling I wanted to capture. In these times, comfort is needed.

What a lovely colour palette, Ritva – that together with the blur creates a lovely Glow
Thanks; I am happy with this blur shot, most are rubbish
😊
Your photo could be from anywhere, Ritva. Your blurred image does evoke warmth and safety.
Yes I think we can all find a similar doorway
Lovely …. and comforting too.
I love how, you and many share that feeling
I’m with Suzette–I am going to embrace my blurred images. Sharpness is overrated. This is so dreamy, Ritva.
It is an art form of it’s own
Thank you, Ritva, for giving me new insight into embracing blurred images. This is fantastic!! I appreciate your descriptions of your thought process for the outcome of the image, too.
Glad I was able do that
It is a beautiful look at a dreamy scene. I think the variety of colors and shapes make it look more like a painting than an out-of-focus photo. Nicely done.
Thanks, I had not thought about it that way
👌🏻 A great image.
I love it when someone isn’t obsessed with sharpness. Super idea to get across the idea of a dreamy, warm glow!!
Thanks, I try to be creative
