Today: Sunrise at 9:25- Sunset 15:15- Length of day 5:50 hours – time of dusk 0:58 minutes . A minute less of daylight than yesterday. A day until winter solstice. Tomorrow!
One more rainy, misty December day with drizzle and temperatures of +5c, no feeling of winter or Christmas. Slept late, woke up at the same time the sun was supposed to rise, if it did I sure have not noticed. We went to grocery store in the hope that it would be emptier today to do some Christmas food shopping. No luck, lots of people on the move, maybe with the same idea as we had to avoid the crowds.
I am really trying to come up with something to photograph. Here are some seasonal lights and a traditional Christmas paper star light.

I will be posting new and old photos somehow related to winter, Christmas and eventually anticipation of new year. My aim is to take one new photo a day, but not going to stress over it, if I don’t come up with anything.

You have me counting down with you … and I see that as a good thing. Interesting noticing the Ferris wheel in the background.
Thanks for joining my journey 😊 yes Helsinki has had it since 2014.
This looks very festive!

Thanks 🙏🏻
Beautiful, Ritva. I was thinking about you and the solstice just this morning. You’re almost there and although we get much more light than you, I’ll be happy to see it increasing day by day, too.

I love what you’ve been posting! But after tomorrow…..!! 🌞
Thanks 😊, yes 🙌🏻
I love the first image, with the twinkly lights and trees. Here’s my very unfestive one for today https://sillarit.com/2020/12/20/countdown-to-2021-20/
Thanks Sue 😊
My advice is not to try too hard to think of things to photograph, just relax and let the photos come to you – and if any day you don’t take any, well that’s how it is. I think we all get these “blank periods” when inspiration / creativity deserts us, I know I do. In time, things will improve; just relax now – Xmas pressures and all – and let things happen at their own pace. Happy Christmas!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Merry Christmas Adrian! I don’t really worry, but this has been one attempt to keep me active.
