I visited Hailuoto in Oulu this weekend. The day was cloudy, but it didn’t dampen the mood, the place was still beautiful as I remember it being.

A beautiful red, Ritva, and good for you for combining challenges. The cottages are so neat and clean.
I love that deep red colour of the cottages. I suppose it stands out in the Northern European snow covered winters.
I follow a couple of YouTubers set in Sweden where they’re restoring old cabins/houses in the forests. They have that same colour on the house exterior. I assume Finland is the same when it comes to restoration of cabins or summer houses. I’ll have to do a Youtube search and see if there’s a house renovation series set in your country.
My Goddaughter did an artist-in-residency set in Finland in the middle of winter. Cold, she said.
Cold in winter yes😀 it is a traditional red ochre paint color used in log cabins. These are old fishing cabins ❤️
Lovely captures, Ritva. May be the red color is to give a lively feeling on grey days 🙂.
And don’t worry about triple dipping! I had to do the same, both for lack of time, as well as a fortunate matching of themes 😂.
