For The Flower Hour on May 6th, I want to share these striking poppies I noticed by the roadside; they truly stood out in their vibrant brightness.

they would be so lovely to see along the sides of the road.
A lovely sight Ritva. They are so red
How lovely. Too early for poppies here yet.
Here too😁
Beautiful poppies, Ritva. 😊
Gorgeous – I do love poppies!
Poppies are so vibrant!
Beautiful red poppies Ritva! We don’t have them here.
What a fun surprise to see the red poppies along the road, Ritva! Like Anne said, we don’t see red ones here in the West US. Thanks for joining the Flower Hour!
Dear Ritva
Beautiful! Here the poppies will flower later.
We love the red ones, but the yellow sea poppies are special too. We also have the invasive orange Californian poppies. Our area is called ‘Popppyland’ because of the masses of red poppies here (https://kbvollmarblog.wordpress.com/2011/08/09/literary-norfolk-poppyland/).
Thank you

People like colorful sceneries of flowers: What that human’s natural attribute says about human desire for diversity in human race?
SHOULDN’T WE STRIVE TO PRESERVE DIVERSITY IN HUMAN RACE?
There’s something about poppies, isn’t there? I love them xx
