Wordless Wednesday turned into something else; as I am asking which version do you prefer? I initially created it this post to share one photo without the clutter of words, allowing the imagery to speak for itself. However, adding a another edit of the same photo led me to ask which one resonates more. Now I find myself curious about your thoughts?

I have to go with the second one as I like how the mist makes the mountains appear as if they’re undulating. That effect is more muted in the first one.

Unlike everyone else I’m torn between the two and can’t decide – both are lovely in their different ways. Number two has more drama but number one is more atmospheric 🙂 If forced to choose I might just go for the first one, if only to be awkard!

I’m absolutely with Sarah. I like the understated feel of thec first one even more than the drama of the second one. And what exactly do you mean by ‘the clutter of words’. You never write clutters of words!

Subtle or striking is what you’re asking, Ritva? I actually like both. Sometimes when I edit I wonder if I’ve overdone it and should go with the gentler version xx

I am on team like both. They have different qualities and feel. I do get the same when editing photos and often apply undo to check I haven’t ruined to feel of the photo

The type of photographer I am, I would proudly keep both edits, they are the same image and yet so unique. Beautiful!

Both are nice with different moods – 1st one is dreamy and surreal, 2nd one is stark. So, the choice depends on what mood you want to convey to the viewer..
I’m with Sarah and Margaret–#1. It’s moody and looks more authentic. #2 looks “too cleaned up.” This was my opinion before I saw the comments.
