Taking time to sit outside to look at the stars and moon is one of life’s simple pleasures that often goes overlooked. The charm of the countryside is undoubtedly the absence of light pollution; in these serene settings, the stars and the moon become visible with breathtaking clarity, illuminating the night with a twinkling brilliance that captivates. As I sat and admired the stars, even though the sky was partly covered with clouds, I found a sense of peace. I am always amazed at how well my phone captures images in the dark, allowing me to preserve these fleeting moments and share the beauty of the night sky with others.

For John’s Cellpic Sunday.

I really like these
Thank you, glad you enjoyed them
Yes I did, and you’re welcome 🙂
Awesome colours Ritva! The first image is stunning!
Thanks Pamela
Oh these are stunning – love the lighting in the last one!
Thanks M.B for commenting, happy to see you here
These are so beautiful. Not only did you capture the scene, but the photos carry a lot of emotions, too.
ooh, thanks Egídio, that is such nice comment.
What magical night photos. They turned out very well, especially the stars and mist.
Thanks, the stars were a surprise to me as well, mist is easier
I used to love stargazing but haven’t done so in a long time.
It is beautiful … often we just ignore even on bright night. I do it when every now and then when we are at out summer place. At home I don’t take the time unfortunately
Too much light pollution here.
Best title ever! Complete truth in that sentiment. Lovely post and wonderful images, Ritva. Thank you for sharing them with us. pp
Now Pam, I am in trouble how to beat that title 😂
Ha! For you, my sweet, never a problem! xx
Sitting out after dark in the summer is indeed a great pleasure, even for us here in London. How much more so though in the country! Your phone has done an excellent job of capturing these skies, even the stars are clearly visible 🙂
I was amazed that it captured the stars 😊
Beautiful night photos, especially the last!
Thanks Anne, mist always adds mood to the shot
😍
I would be entranced By the mist on a moonliit night on the field!
I am always entranced by it too. I need to take a photo every time I see it
Sadly, I haveńt seen early morning mist for a few years
