October berries of Oriental bittersweet.
Celastrus orbiculatus is a woody vine of the Celastraceae family. It is commonly called Oriental bittersweet, as well as Chinese bittersweet, Asian bittersweet, round-leaved bittersweet, climbing spindleberry and Asiatic bittersweet.

I always loved them when we were in Illinois. I’ll probably see some when I’m back there in a week or so. 🙂
I like to see them turn from green to yellow the orange. Hope you have nice trip back to Illinois 🙂
