it’s in the details #2

Well I took several shots for this week’s Lens-Artists challenge, but as the limited images were six, I could only post that. I think the limited amount of images is a good thing actually, I really should do it more often.

A single wither’d leaf is left
Upon the forest tree,
By angry winds and storms bereft
Of other company:
And though its friends have long since gone,
The wither’d leaf still clingeth on!

I chose a slightly different angles and came a little closer – and what I liked about this is that – can you guess what I liked ?

  1. Ritva, I did not know there was going to be a test. I loved this second post for the challenge. The frosted leaves are captured beautifully. The details are amazing! I did not see anyone answering your question about what you liked in that shot. I don’t know if my reason for liking the second shot is the same as yours. I love the leaf’s center line bringing my eyes to focus on the leaf tip. Although the top photo is stunning, that bright light in the background distracts my eyes and pulls me away from the leaf a little. The whole gallery is simply beautiful. You captured the chill in the air so well.

  2. Great details, beautifully captured (and I didn’t realise there was a limit of 6 for this challenge 😀 ).

  3. Frost is amazing. I used to know a woman who post frost photos, they were so beautiful, I used to think I will do some, but then the cold always keeps me inside, one day I will. Glad to see you do.
