I got a request to show my new vase with flowers that I featured in my how to survive November round post. I am not happy with any of these, not even the edited one.But here they are for John’s Cellpic Sunday.

You’ve injected a personal note to your minimalist photo that I didn’t perceive until I read the text. The rose does look sad. >grin<
Let me take a bow 😀
You might be sad, but the rose is sadder!
I was just sad for not getting good photos 😀
I liked them, and you ALWAYS show us good photos. If you have any duds, you keep them to yourself!
❤
Well, your first image of the single rose in the narrow vase is definitely minimalist, but for the rose to be truly sad it needs to be a little more decayed! Worth exploring further…..
The Rose is taking the last bow
Indeed 😊
That single rose does look sad and I’m sorry you’re feeling the same way, but I like the bigger bunch in the new round vase 🙂
Sarah, my “sadness” was only due to not getting a good photo.
That’s a relief to hear 😀
The single rose one is such an emotionally charged photograph – the drooped leaves resemble its act of wanting to take support of the rim of the vase , its stem resembling a crooked spine trying to support as the rose gently wilts away as a calling of time. It’s powerfully sad.
The rose was taking its last bow.
I don’t know! I kinda like them 🙂 but cell phone pics CAN be tricky to work with
I can do cell phone photography, but at the moment there is no natural light, it has been 9 does without it been seem at all. Just gray and rain and as we only have sunlight between 9:14- 15:16 so that is an issue:-D
Oh wow….yes I understand what you mean.
That first one is great! I like the simplicity and composition of it. True cell phone pics can be great or not so great 😉 Ive found using portrait mode on my phone results in MUCH better photos – I will always prefer my camera though!
