On a request, here are my lilac photos on color, showcasing this flower that insists on flaunting its beauty in every possible lighting condition—it’s like the diva of the garden and the scent of her, aah!! Whether it’s posing against a clear blue sky, showing off its gorgeous self amidst lush greenery, or just casually lounging in the softness of a pastel backdrop, the lilac’s knack for stealing the spotlight, proving once and for all that flowers can outshine even the best of us in the color department!

Well, thank you Ritva. Of course your mono versions were a study in cool understated elegance, but to smell the lilac (and ours is dead now) requires, I find, colour. So white lilac signifies modesty? I find its smell anything but unassuming. It’s voluptuous, heady and altogether flaunts itself!
Very nice.
Beautiful.
So beautiful!
Your shots are always perfection, and I especially enjoyed your comment, “this flower that insists on flaunting its beauty in every possible lighting condition”. Another great post, thank you for sharing. pp
Lilacs are beautiful, and there is no artificial scent that smells truly like the scent of lilacs. When we lived in Ohio, we had three lilac bushes: one white, one lavender, and one deep purple. The only downside is that when it rained, the flowers did not hold up well.
Thanks for showing the colour version. I actually like both versions. The conversion worked well
White lilacs to have and see and hold and smell . . . what a dream . . .am looking and pretending . . .
Although the monochrome version lent a mysterious air to the lilacs, seeing them in their amazing colors really is the best version, Ritva! I can smell their amazing fragrance all the way to here! Truly stunning! Thanks for sharing for The Flower Hour!
Oh I just love lilacs! Beautiful photos. Giving me some inspiration to find some!!!
very beautifull
I really liked the monochrome versions but I also love these! And I agree with Margaret that it’s easier to ‘smell’ them in colour 😃
