Lens-Artists Challenge – What is it? What IS it? What is IT?
Sofia wrote: You’ll all be the quiz master setting the images and we’ll have to guess what is depicted. The only thing you need to do is find photos that will leave us puzzled, baffled, curious and asking out loud “What is it”? We’ll need to look again, maybe use our imagination… possibly even give up and just enjoy the image we have in front of us. How can we do it?
I don’t know, but I sure will give it a try; hope you will participate and take a guess at mine. These are fresh from the camera, as I took these during the last few days while exploring different things. Each shot captures the beauty and vibrancy of everyday things. Some are more obvious, revealing familiar while others are perhaps a bit more obscure, challenging your observation skills and sense of discovery. I look forward to seeing your thoughts and interpretations on these images, as they each have their own story to tell.

This past week, I encouraged you to delve into the various techniques you employ in image creation. I was truly impressed by the creativity displayed within the Lens-Artist community; thank you for sharing your artistic endeavors. Your posts have sparked some fantastic ideas for me. Sofia’s exciting challenge awaits us this week, so I invite you to participate and remember to link back to her original post and use the Lens-Artists Tag to help us find your contributions easily in the WP Reader.
John will be back next week, bringing a new challenge for us to tackle at noon EST in the USA. Make sure to join us to learn more about the challenge at that time.
Until then, let’s keep exploring, broadening our horizons, and maintaining a positive mindset
You can keep up with all of our challenges by subscribing to the Lens-Artists team members websites: Tina, Patti, Ann-Christine, John, Sofia, Anne, Egidio, Beth. Ritva,

Number 1: bread Number 2: Peperomia – Radiator Plant Number 3: shimmering charcoal Number 4: Honey and honey dipper Number 5: fallen leaves in a puddle Number 6: one water drop

Ah, you really managed to find difficult but beautiful examples! I only guessed two of them. Well done!
Thanks, it was fun? I’m glad you missed three 😂😂
Haha!
These were great. I guessed the bread, plant and of course honey. This was a fun challenge this week
Nice capture of the water drop. Wouldn’t you say that leaps out at you 🙂
Awesome collection Ritva, I would have never guessed bread for the first one!
That is what good bread look like to me. Thanks Pamela, did you guess the others?
Your images are impressive and super creative. I could only guess two.
Hurray for me 😂 I glad you are impressed
A great post, Ritva!! I almost guess all of them. The single water drop is stunning
Wow, that is good. I have not been too successful at guessing the ones that I have seen 😁 I did take many shot before I got the water drop in the water
Excellent, Ritva! I’m soo tired today and had so much fun with your quiz. Now, I have to say I couldn’t guess most of them, #3 left me positively lost. But even the ones I knew what they were were a joy. Thank you so much 🙂
Thanks Sofia, this is such a good idea from you. This was fun
Shooting a whole set fresh from the camera specifically to baffle people is a fun way to take a prompt. My honest reaction was to guess confidently on two, then stare at the rest and give up in the way Sofia predicted. Our kids are weirdly good at this game – they have not yet learned to overthink, so they blurt out the obvious answer while we are busy inventing complicated ones.
Thanks, how true. We adults try too hard to have them associate with something
Very creative Ritva! I got half of them.
Good for you Anne, I have been having hard time with many entries
😍
Wonderful choices… but that red eye is truly bloodshot! >grin<
I know… it just wanted to be captured
Great images. I’m still thinking about the water drop. And doe you see the face in the charcoal? One eye and a nose in a lacy mask? 😀 i see faces everywhere.
Marie I did see eye in the shot you mention 😊Glad you liked the drop
A good puzzling selection, except one, Ritva
Brian I knew it was too obvious, but
You had to include such a fabulous photo
Great choices. I only got one, can you guess which? [Stop laughing at me!] Lovely post, Ritva! xx
I had to give people a chance to guess one 😂
What fun! Bread (after a couple of looks, plant (but could not tell the kind) and the dipper for me . . . thank you for a morning smile!
you are so welcome, my pleasure Eha 😁
Wonderful images Ritva. I especially like the coal and waterdrop.
you guessed them, did you Brad?
Just the leaf, honey, and water.
Ritva, these are all fantastic. The only one I got right was the honey dipper.
Beth, tea drinker are you?
I sure am! And I have a honey dipper just like this one.
I was so proud of myself for figuring out bread, then I couldn’t figure out the second or third. Four and five I figured out. Wow, cool edits and capture on 6!
Thanks, clever you Rebecca. And you recognize good bread 😂
I’ll add it to my list of accomplishments for my resume. 😉
Well you nailed that. They’re all great images and I scored one out of six – The honey dipper 🙂
Steve are you a tea drinker?
Terrific Ritva! I did guess a few but missed more😉. The one I found hardest was the shimmering charcoal. I was SO sure that was a flower LOL. Wonderful choices this week.
Thanks Tina, this is a nice and fun challenge
