Macro Monday

Cup Lichens for Marco Mondays

At this time I was trying to capture lush, green mossy surface with intricate textures visible. The light was soft and diffused, highlighting the delicate structures of both the moss and fungi without casting harsh shadows. I like that there is a mix of green hues, ranging from bright lime greens to deeper forest greens in the vegetation. Cup Lichens with slender stems and cup-shaped caps are emerging from the moss, adding diversity to the scene. Most cup lichens grow on the ground but some can also grow on deadwood or as epiphytes on trees.

Autumn in little world

This is Cladonia (cup lichen) it  is a genus of moss-like lichen.

Tiny world

it is so early spring that the only green to be seen is the moss and the wonders of the tiny world next to it. I spent some time past weekend with my camera pointed to the tiny wonders found on the ground -if you look close enough.

Sadunomainen / Fairy- tale

I had to think about this one. Two of the pictures not Macros but  – something fairy-tale like is in them – or movie so I had to include them just for the topic

The main photo is as Macro as can be – it is a very close up of a lichen ( jäkälä) only thing I’ve done is enhanced the colors
