They may be known in British English as bulrush, or reedmace, in American English as cattail,catninetail, punks, or corn dog grass, in Australia as cumbungi or bulrush, in Canada as bulrush or cattail, and in New Zealand as raupō. Other taxa of plants may be known as bulrush, including some sedges in Scirpus and related genera.

One Word Photo Challenge~Cerulean blue
Cerulean,, is a color term that may be applied to certain colors with the hue ranging roughly between blue and cyan, overlapping with both. It also largely overlaps with azure and sky blue, although cerulean is dimmer.
The first recorded use of cerulean as a color name in English was in 1590. The word is derived from the Latin word caeruleus, “dark blue, blue or blue-green”, which in turn probably derives from caelulum, diminutive of caelum, “heaven, sky”

It was a rainy evening. I took these five photos of the rainy lake, Humaljärvi, when on my way to my painting lessons. That was enough, I was quite wet by then, but I found it to be beautiful in its gray tones so it was worth getting little wet. Linked to Wednesday around the world!!

We have had some love autumn days, nice temperature during the day and night brings the mist. Last night the moon was so bright and mist covered the fields. I just had to take a midnight stroll. These are always a slight challenge for me as I shoot with out a tripod
