I can now start counting the days to New Year. The traditional New Years fireworks have been cancelled due to Covid-19, but we have not shot them anyways, we have seen the ones our town fires, but I can live without them. I will post some photos from the past years. Not my specialty , but they are my humble attempts
Today is gray, we have a bit of snow, +3,9C temperatures, and so windy and wet. It can only get better from this.
One more year nearly done, and what a year it has been. Let’s set the table for the celebration, might as well start today.

That’s it for today 🙂
I will be posting new and old photos somehow related to winter, Christmas and eventually anticipation of new year. My aim is to take one new photo a day, but not going to stress over it, if I don’t come up with anything.

Today is gray, we have a bit of snow +1C temperatures, maybe more snow in to look forward to. Nothing inspiring in the least.

We have spent few hours of watching M*A*S*H that aired on CBS from 1972 to 1983 from a DVD box we got several years ago. It follows a team of doctors and support staff stationed at the “4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital” in Uijeongbu, South Korea, during the Korean War (1950–53) It is still a great sitcom, the themes are universal and it is still relevant in many ways even if it is from early 70’s.

Here are my feeble attempts from 2013 – if not anything else, they are colorful.

We celebrated New Year 2016 in India, Goa. There were so many people on the beach with us… so many. Many of them had never seen the ocean before…we also participated in the tradition of sending fire balloons or are they sky lanterns into the sky. It was a New Year Celebration like no other.

Happy New year to all my Blog friends. I filmed this fireworks at Kirkkonummi, Finland. Finland is having it’s 100 year birthday this year so even in our small community we started with a nice welcome to 2017! 100 years of Independence is something to celebrate.
The past year has been hard, so I put my faith on the hope that it can only be better this year! Happy New Year, dear friends!
I usually do not write that much, but here are some photo’s taken at the beach in Calancute, Goa.
The beach was so full of Indians from the countryside, most had not seen the sea before, the joy they showed was so childlike. Tourist are a minority in this party even if there were plenty of us there also. The techno music came from every shack on the beach, different noice from all of them, you could hardly talk. There were beautiful bonfire’s on the beach and people were sending memory kite’s, we also tried, they looked beautiful in the dark sky. At midnight the fire works started and lasted for some time. Quite wonderful.
I have no skill to take photos of fireworks, but I was able to capture some shots that make good ” artsy photos” of light – well that what I would like to think anyways
