How to survive November 2021 Day 19

Well, I will be straight with this as this post contains ja small fib. I took these photos earlier this fall, not yesterday or today.

But, my excuse is, I did edit them yesterday, that a way they are new. Right?

I could not do green November without having a peek what my backyard has to offer. Even at this time of year, green is trying its best to pop up.

Now we are at the heart of the matter, the soul of November is in this picture. It is already ten o’clock, but it is still dim and the air is full of drizzle.

All is good as as the lights turned from red to green.

How to survive November 2021 Day 16

Tuesday, bleak, even grey skies, dim light. Typical November day.

Good thing, I need to cook some pasta today, so I have to add some scallion onion, or spring onion to add some flavor. I found my green for today.

Healthy greens.

How to survive November 2021 Day 12

What would I not do on my quest for green, the sacrifices one has to make 😀

I saw a friend after work yesterday, I was already going to the mall to buy some art supplies, and on a impulse I thought I would ask a friend on for a cup of coffee, no planning or making calendar appointments, just are you free for a cup of coffee.

I am getting old, I miss times when you could pop to a friends house unannounced, you could walk or drive by and see if they were home. Pop in for a quick chat. Nowadays it is more planned, I think it is a shame. I miss the spontaneity of impromptu visits.

Oh, back to yesterday: She said it was too late for her to drink coffee. So we we ended chatting by a glass of wine for few hours. And what a nice surprise, I saw green 🙂

How to survive November 2021 Day 11

Yesterday was dark, rainy all day. Not my favorite weather. While at work I found those green lollipops, to help with my quest for green. I am doing my best not to use my archives for green. I do this to keep me going, being active, presenting myself everyday with a challenge to find green.

Today I chose to take photos of a sculpture, I am repeating myself again, I did years ago. I think I did these on my second year of studying sculpture. It is green and it helped me out of my search for today. Happy Thursday everyone.

What is a better place to capture green than the botanical gardens, they have the light, right temperature there for flowers to bloom. Some green I captured from my visit.

How to survive November 2021 Day 8

I have liked this little green flower, but never knowing what it was, until only few days ago, I learned that it is a carnation 🙂 . It was bit of a struggle to get these shots as there wasn’t that much light and I was too lazy to take out the camera, so I took these with my phone.

The lounge area had nice green chairs. And the plants…

How to survive November 2021 Day 7

I took a train to Helsinki for the first time in nearly two years, for some reason I’ve gone by car for some time now. I saw a dear friend for lunch, whom I haven’t seen in a long time.

I also did my best to capture green. I could have taken a photo of the train, that would have been absolutely too easy. It turns out that Helsinki has lots of green roofs.

Today starts all of our favorite month, November! This year we’ll get rid of gray by painting the month in green. Lepis from Parallel lines has hosted this challenge for years, I have been part of it for several years too, feel free to join us 🙂

My first green is a collage I did last week that I posted in my Instagram stories., but it is so appropriate for this post, so I placed it as the header for this post.

Create your November green by:

  • finding green
  • photographing green
  • painting green
  • coloring green
  • crocheting green
  • make green choices
  • change your living green
  • eat green and so on
