It is here a again the most cruel month of the year. It is dark and getting darker, and the same time as the light lessen the more moody and tired I get. I am ready to hibernate, this is a survival technique make yourself a challenge everyday, this month let’s eat… I mean we have to eat. To survive, to comfort us, to be sociable. What can I say, today the sunrise was at 7:46 and sunset 16:26 it is gray and with the wind factor the temperature feels like 2C / 35F. Not my happy place.

Carmel by Sea

I truly enjoyed this town, I could have stayed there longer. Nice shops, art galleries, restaurants. Nice, clean town for tourists and locals to enjoy. We had breakfast at a place a local recommended, I have to say it was a good recommendation.

Breakfast at Joe’s

Before we left towards our drive to Big Sur we had a nice american breakfast at Joe’s Place in Paso Robles. The owner is a patriot, by the look of the memorabilia and photos on the walls.. Also lot of old movie stars pictures- Ladies room had pictures of old leading men. I did not visit the men’s room, but I heard lovely ladies covered the walls. We do not have these kind of diners/ breakfast places in Finland so this was a rare opportunity to do this kind of breakfast. I was going to skip this part, but my husband let me understand that this should be in the “diary” of our trip.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning!

My Morning

The challenge was to photograph your morning. It was hard to come up with shot that would give an inkling of what my morning is like…here are shots I took, the top one is the one I admitted to the challenge…coffee, daily paper – breakfast.

My morning

The hardest part is to leave the warmth of the bed… slowly adjusting, pull a socks on, look out the window  to see the weather  –  breakfast – enjoy the company of my pets, and finally its time to paint my face on…
