These are typical photos we take with our mobiles. I enjoyed a Saturday lunch at a restaurant called Taivaanranta,in the center of Lahti. The meal was delicious; I savored the delicate flavors of the carefully prepared dishes, from the appetizing salad bar to the delectable main course and the tempting dessert. A charming decor, with its cozy ambiance makes the occasion more delightful. A big plus was the impeccable service – the staff was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making the lunch a delightful treat on a rainy September day.

We went and visited Helsinki this afternoon, it was a bright, warm, very spring like day with temperature of +9C , but even with that taken to consideration, there were not many people walking about. We just had to get out of the house. We even had the restaurant all to ourselves, we spent lots of time looking at the cityscape opening to us behind the window. I do feel for the businesses. it is not easy to survive wit all the restrictions in place.

We walked through the mall today and saw Christmas decorations to try to lift our Christmas spirits, as I for one, really do not have any.
Today: Sunrise at 9:15 – Sunset 15:16 – Length of day 6:01 hours – time of dusk 0:57 minutes
Two minutes less of daylight than yesterday. Only 13 more days until winter solstice..

It was so nice to sit and chat face to face, enjoy nice lunch, that I did not make myself. Like a journey to the good old days 🙂 LOL , yeah.

I will be posting new and old photos somehow related to winter, Christmas and eventually anticipation of new year. My aim is to take one new photo a day, but not going to stress over it, if I don’t come up with anything.

Photos taken with my mobile, I am continuing with the food theme. This was our lunch/ dinner today at our summer house.
Saturday morning we drove the Helsinki, there is shoe store with very good service and knowledgeable personnel. In May, I one tendon split and other was torn on my left foot, unfortunately it has not healed. So, as our trip to Australia is approaching, I needed to find sandals / shoes that can accommodate my insoles that have been especially made for me. Story short.I got comfortable shoes, but they are not fashionable, that’s for sure. I am not posting photos of the shoes. Lunch, we had lunch and while waiting for the food to arrive I took few photos.

Lunch today

An other day has gone, at work I ended up at IKEA buying stuff for our office. Can you believe it, I think it was my first time having lunch there, I did not eat their best-seller, meatballs either, but da, daa… one more experience in my bag.
