We stopped to have coffee at Pop up Kahvila Liuskasaari. If you visit the island be sure to pop there. Nice and friendly service and the pancakes and coffee were delicious.
WPC PHOTO CHALLENGE – Earth
The theme this week at WPC PHOTO CHALLENGE is Earth. What is means to you. Here in Finland nature is a given, it can be found in your back yard. Forest and lakes are all around us. Earth is were we get our food, water and peace. It could also be the beautiful mountains, oceans, animal. This is a huge topic… I am going to go with a view that touches my heart every summer – field at the country side near my summer house.

I’m getting into the groove with my digital art, this being one of them. It is inspired by African art and I have used one of my previous works as a base. Recycling my own work
Continuing my African art theme here is one more variation. All these are something that opens up more the further away you look at them. The distance reveals so hidden content. Hope you enjoy this.

Monochrome Madness 3-51 – Helsinki City Hall
This weeks entry to LEANNE COLE Photography Monochrome Madness 3-51 challenge is a view to Helsinki City Hall , it is a central administrative building of Helsinki. The city hall is located next to Market Square at the moment rather quiet, but as summer comes it will be fill of orange tents.

We spent a day at our summer housecleaning after winter. I have to admit the first time you go there in spring time it is always a bit disappointing as everything is brown, and gray. No leaves on the trees. Hopefully in a months time it will be something different again.

Walking in the woods, staying at summer cottages nestled by the lakes and forests. We find comfort and peace in nature, the silence,clean air.

I reworked on this piece of mine I did after the terrorist attack in France, as it expresses how I feel about what’s going in the world at the moment. Don’t people learn anything from the history. The world has turned upside down, I am so sad and frustrated about what is happening in the world today… that is what this post is about.
