Rowen and an apple tree

I read about this tree and found out this.
Within Scottish folklore, it was believed that chopping down a rowan tree would only bring bad luck as they are such a strong symbol of protection. Red is seen as a protective color; this is what attributes protection to the Rowan Tree. The berries were once thought to protect against enchantment and witchcraft.

The apple tree symbolizes a wide range of concepts, including immortality, health, love, and temptation. Its symbolism varies across cultures, appearing in mythology as a source of eternal youth (Norse), a representation of divine gifts (Greek), and a symbol of the cyclical nature of life and death (Celtic).

How to survive November 2023 – 18

Today the sunrise was at 8:30 and sunset 15:46. Back to gray.

Let’s keep it real, we need vitamins

Fruit
🍏 Apples

It is here a again the most cruel month of the year. It is dark and getting darker, and the same time as it is the challenge to post something edible every day of the month of November, I can do it, how about you? What to join us? There is a link below if you’re interested

November and its time to survive it. Theme for the How to Survive November is ‘Something to Eat’.

Lepis from Parallel Lines| in scale kindly hosts this survival once again. The InLinkz is at her blog, it’s at the right column. Let’s enjoy this November with marvelous flavors!

Something I noticed #31

Something I noticed is back, odd shots of ranbom things.

Apple that has seen better days, I had in my office for the longest time and forgot about it. It looked like it would make a nice photo, even if in this state of decay, or because of it. I took it to the patio and took some shots

How to survive November 2021 Day 5

Green Apples, so crisp, and roundly shaped. This one is green.

Granny smith

Our favorite month, November! This year we’ll get rid of gray by painting the month in green. Lepis from Parallel lines has hosted this challenge for years, I have been part of it for several years too, feel free to join us 🙂

Green apples

Open your world to a green November and enjoy your creativity. How you do it is free as long as it’s green!

Something I noticed #19

Color play with fruits

These are such a contrast to the snow floating behind my window and this being the first day of spring. Today is the spring equinox, when day and night are about the same length all over the globe. As spring progresses, the days lengthen and the nights shorten in Finland and elsewhere in the northern hemisphere. The joy of this 🙂 is enormous!

I took more still life photos of fruits to pass the time

A Granny Smith and grapes and an Orange. Shadow and light. Color play.

Fruits on an oak pot coaster? Is that a right word?

Fruit

I was reminded that one should not to play with food 😀 , LOL, so I took the advice and instead I did arrangements with fruit.

Granny Smith and Golden Delicious plus Oranges. Shadow and light. Bright Colors

These are such a contrast to the snow floating behind my window. Enough of white already, it is lovely when it first arrives, this time of the year not so much.

Apples

I have played with my apple images.

Granny Smith and Golden Delicious. Shadow and light. Color and black and white.

NOvember

it is a big NO, no,no for me, November is the saddest month of all, dark, bleak and wet. Dark when you leave for work and dark when you come home. Mainly grey during the day time…this first photo taken during day time.one lonesome apple with no green…so sad,  Others around 5-6 pm – so sad…
