Dawn of ‘The Day After’ is once again celebrating the autumn season in the northern hemisphere and would love you to share what autumn is like in your part of the world.

Festival of leaves… I took these today September 26th

Leaves are scattered on the ground in shades of yellow and brown, making a soft, colorful carpet that crunches when you step on it. The tree still hangs on to a bit of green in its leaves, a little nod to the summer that just zoomed by. The wind tosses them around, sending some whispers through the air, while the sun shines warmly on the scene, giving those fallen leaves a golden glow that sways gently in the light.

Three ways to look at this path

Since I do post editing on my art, and my photos, I also do several variations of them, so this is great challenge for me to participate in LAPC #220 One Subject Three Ways. These are very similar, but slightly different –by zooming in on the details or stepping back for a wider view. Sorry, there is four images and a header. 🙂

Summer season ended, we closed our summer house for winter on this beautiful October day. The autumn colors are so lovely.

I used to drive past this side road, path weekly, when participating in art classes nearby. I enjoyed watching the seasons changing the colors on this private road. I took a drive purposely to check how it looks with autumn colors taking hold of the nature. I was not disappointed. Depending on the zoom length the colors leaned more to yellows or greens.

I Haven’t been out of the house so my seasonal photos are from my previous drive.

Feeling much better 🙂 Once again, I now remember how it feels to have the flu, I have to say, I have not missed this feeling. I have had so many cups of tea and cough drops in the past week.

I had to get out of the house, it felt like the walls are falling on top of me. Covid has so messed up our lives, so many restrictions to what, where and when you can do it. So I have mainly stayed at home as the weather has not been the greatest the past weeks. Now as it is already dark a 5 PM well … need I say more.

Well anyways I got out of the house and we even got few moments of sunshine today and it was warm at this time of the year 14C. I took the car and went for a drive. My first stop was at lake Syväjärvi as I noticed a nice rainbow. What I saw on the front of the rainbow you can see in the next post, stay tuned 🙂

Welcome September

The autumn colors are coming more obvious the change of the green to more yellow tones, muted. Orange and reds appearing on the leaves. Yesterday it poured, rain, sunshine, rain …in between i went hunting for droplets. Here is the shot of the day. I also have added the blurred and not so focused shots as I like them for the artsy feel. Not everything needs to be perfect.
