wordless Wednesday

This week promises to be delightful as Elke from pictures imperfect blog has chosen to focus on PETS in monochrome.

And I am always happy to share photos of Tinka. She is a funny little cat with her own ways, but still, you can tell that she likes us, and we really like her. She comes and spends time with us in the living room, sleeping on her own chair or on the ottoman, but to come on the sofa to be petted is something she will not do. Instead, she prefers to stretch out on the rug, then waits patiently to be petted as if she’s subtly hinting at her desire for affection. When l lay on the bed, note i have to be under the duvet, then she will place herself in the nook of your arm on your side and happily purrs whenever she gets all the attention. This does with me often at nights; it’s become a comforting routine. I oftentimes have trouble falling asleep for various reasons—thoughts racing through my mind or tor just discomfort or pain. During these moments, I often find myself waking up throughout the night. Yet, when Tinka comes to me, curling up in that perfect little spot and purring softly, she truly calms me down. I focus entirely on her soothing purrs, and I pet her in a calm way, feeling a sense of tranquility wash over me as I find solace in her presence.

I took these yesterday with my IPHONE so I would have new photos to share, I could have converted many older photos of Tinka and Veikka, but as I do need to find inspiration for new photos, this was a good and pleasant opportunity to do so.

Tina from Travels and Trifles nailed it when she said, “This week our challenge is all about something we all love – cats and dogs!” I mean, who doesn’t adore these furry pals? They’ve got a way of making our lives so much brighter, and they really do feel like part of the family with their quirky little personalities. So, I’m keeping it simple this week. I’m just sharing a bunch of cute pics of my dogs and cats – no need for fancy words or explanations. Honestly, those snapshots say it all and capture the warmth and love we have for these amazing pets better than I ever could. Each photo really brings out the joy of just watching them being themselves.

As the saying goes, “Cats have it all — admiration, an endless sleep, and company only when they want it.” These enigmatic creatures, with their soft purrs and graceful movements, embody a life of luxury that many of us can only dream of. They bask in the sun for hours, unfazed by the hustle and bustle of daily life. Their independence is a source of fascination; they choose when to interact, offering affection on their terms, which only deepens our appreciation for their mysterious nature.

Hopefully you’ll join us this week to share your own thoughts and images on the subject. Be sure to link to Tina’s post and to include the Lens-Artists Tag to help us find you.
Thanks Egidio for his Complementary colors it was a lovely challenge and the flowers shots most of us chose were lovely. I am sorry for my limited comments this week, I have had a busy week and even blogging has been a stretch as I have been busy making arrangements for a month long trip. So I am giving a heads-up, I will be mostly absent during February from the blogging community.
Finally, we hope you’ll join us next week when Patti leads us once again on her always-terrific Pilotfish blog. I know it will a fun one. Until then keep smiling ☺

Debbies Six Word Saturday
Just because they are so cute and cuddly. Veikka and Tinka are taking a nap 😴

Tinka was alert to the approaching steps, but it was only me with my camera.

We have a new bedspread in this rich rich burgundy color, I liked how the color reflected to Tinka’s face in these photos.
Here I still am, sitting at my computer even though I am thinking that I should go out. So to be very quick I am giving you a virtual feel good hug.

At this moment time, with the world in lock down, I have spent lost’s of time going through my archives. On the top is our Sisko cat that was run over by a car about five years ago. Veikka his brother is still with us, here is also a photo of him looking out the window , wishing that he could go out.
I know these do not really qualify as macro shots- more like close-ups. Topic is love, I thought of wedding rings, a kiss…I chose these photos because one of my cats, Sisko, was run over by a car past winter, and I can clearly see that she is also missed by her brother, Veikka and by us. She was dearly loved.
Love…
I have two cats – Sisko and Veikka ( Sis and Bro) Here are few of my favorite shots of them. They were and are, so soft and cuddly. Obviously they care for each other
