How to survive November 2021 Day 29

It feels like winter as the temperatures are -9C ( 16F) frost has made art on the plants that are left. I am continuing with nature shots .

Yesterday I was not able to post or be by the computer, so I am posting my last two November posts today. It is over, November once again I survived it and we are ending it in a sunny, but cold day.

Our favorite month, November! This year we’ll get rid of gray by painting the month in green. Lepis from Parallel lines has hosted this challenge for years, I have been part of it for several years too, feel free to join us 🙂

First time I missed a day in this challenge. A dear friend gave us tickets to The Miracle – A Night with Queen “INNUENDO 2021” #queentribute as she was not able to attend the show.

The singer sang well and the band played well , we had an enjoyable evening. So I was too tired to start writing the post after 10, actually I wanted to sit down and have a glass of wine instead. So, a day late..

My green findings and bunch of other colors as well

Monday, temperature -4C , a bit nippy. I should have stopped to take some frosty green shots, but did not, I only took this one shot of a winter fluffer, I don’t know it that is a right name for this plant you can see a bit of green behind the frosty plants. As in yesterdays post, I was a really stretching it with the touch of green grass between the tree branches, same thing today..

Weekend passed and the only thing I did on my laptop was post my two November surviving posts I did not even link them until now. Today I will catch up

I did also take a photo of a green chair at the office 🙂

What would I not do on my quest for green, the sacrifices one has to make 😀

I saw a friend after work yesterday, I was already going to the mall to buy some art supplies, and on a impulse I thought I would ask a friend on for a cup of coffee, no planning or making calendar appointments, just are you free for a cup of coffee.

I am getting old, I miss times when you could pop to a friends house unannounced, you could walk or drive by and see if they were home. Pop in for a quick chat. Nowadays it is more planned, I think it is a shame. I miss the spontaneity of impromptu visits.

Oh, back to yesterday: She said it was too late for her to drink coffee. So we we ended chatting by a glass of wine for few hours. And what a nice surprise, I saw green 🙂

How to survive November 2021 Day 11

Yesterday was dark, rainy all day. Not my favorite weather. While at work I found those green lollipops, to help with my quest for green. I am doing my best not to use my archives for green. I do this to keep me going, being active, presenting myself everyday with a challenge to find green.

Today I chose to take photos of a sculpture, I am repeating myself again, I did years ago. I think I did these on my second year of studying sculpture. It is green and it helped me out of my search for today. Happy Thursday everyone.

What is a better place to capture green than the botanical gardens, they have the light, right temperature there for flowers to bloom. Some green I captured from my visit.

How to survive November 2021 Day 8

I have liked this little green flower, but never knowing what it was, until only few days ago, I learned that it is a carnation 🙂 . It was bit of a struggle to get these shots as there wasn’t that much light and I was too lazy to take out the camera, so I took these with my phone.

The lounge area had nice green chairs. And the plants…

Time flies and older you get, the quicker it goes in my growing experience. Just now it was September and well month has passed. The days are getting shorter, darkness is slowly beginning to unfold around us ( is that correct way to say it? ) Well anyways, these are the colors of early October at my backyard.

Where calmness is present, so too is the color blue. In addition to its peacefulness, blue also offers direction and empathy. Though these attributes are promising, blue is also fragile and somewhat cowardly. These varying qualities make blue the perfectly balanced shade that so many love, trust, and adore.

Colors #1

Green! Where do you look to find the meaning of green? Is it in the pale yellow-green of newly sprouted blade of grass? Can it be found in the dazzling sparkle of an emerald? Or does green’s meaning reside in the aromatic depth of a drizzly pine forest? Green inspires and vitalizes us in all its hues.

Green is calming, stress-relieving, and–a bit paradoxically–invigorating.

The color meaning  of green is vitality, freshness, growth, wealth, balance, health, & youthfulness.

Green is everywhere. It’s the most common color in the natural world, and it’s second only to blue as the most common favorite color

Colors

I am taking the easy way out from dilemma, going with color theme, mostly. Most likely the photos will be of flowers, but I might surprise you and myself, who knows what colorful things I will find to photograph.

“Color in a picture is like enthusiasm in life.” – Vincent Van Gogh

Red

“Mere color, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways.” – Oscar Wilde

Green

Color is, on the evidence of language alone, very bound up with the feelings.
