Frost-kissed leaves in silence lie,
A muted palette beneath a gray sky.
Brown and gold decay, whispers of gray,
Purple hues linger, fading away.

For Leanne’s Monochrome Madness this week I took some photos of spring, trying to capture the essence of renewal and vibrancy that this season brings.

Some plants are just slowly starting to show small buds of leaves, signaling the awakening of nature after the long, cold early spring. So I took a close-up of delicate branches with budding leaves, illustrating the beauty of spring’s emergence against the backdrop of the slowly warming air. These two images are just slightly different, mainly by cropping.

I also added the color version just for no reason other than that I felt like it, wanting to give viewers a contrast that emphasizes the fresh greenery and the subtle hints of color that are beginning to emerge in the landscape.

Months pass so quickly. Already July. I had my grandkids visiting us for ten days. On the last day the the youngest enjoyed this sitting hammock and he was so cute I had to take a several shots this was one of them.

I took this with my iPhone 14 Pro
.

This one is from my Olympus taken on the June 19th. I think I have not shared this one yet of the strawberry moon.
These Oak leaves photo is taken with my old, Sony camera with a macro lens on June 12th

October colors from this morning. It was a bit nippy as the temperatures had gone down to minus side last night. Here are chokeberry leaves with beautiful colors from my backyard.

I am running out of ideas at the moment – or should say I am taking the easy way out. Nature and frost are my partners today after a cold night. Frost maybe playing the bigger part, but if you look closely you can see green

Our favorite month, November! This year we’ll get rid of gray by painting the month in green. Lepis from Parallel lines has hosted this challenge for years, I have been part of it for several years too, feel free to join us 🙂

Open your world to a green November and enjoy your creativity. How you do it is free as long as it’s green!
Well, I am happy to present a touch of green to you. This morning as I was on my way to the car, the frost had made beautiful white lines to the brown leaves. To my joy I also spotted green. Mission for the day accomplished

I Haven’t been out of the house so my seasonal photos are from my previous drive.
Feeling much better 🙂 Once again, I now remember how it feels to have the flu, I have to say, I have not missed this feeling. I have had so many cups of tea and cough drops in the past week.

I was surprised by how bright colors I still found in November. I did not need to go any further than my backyard.

Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.

Now Autumn’s fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt.

It was one of those perfect Finnish autumnal days which occur more frequently in memory than in life.

Dawn from lingeringvisions has started a celebration of fall #Festival of Leaves, I am going to give you an impressionist take on leaves. These I photographed yesterday at the rapids at Kumian mylly.
What a difference a day makes, beautiful, sunny day and the nature blooms. Loving it! Not sure these can be categorized as macro’s but close-ups still.
