Chapora River is a river in northern Goa, India. It runs westward into the Arabian sea at Chapora and demarcates the border between the North Goa talukas of Pernem and Bardez. I took a cruise there and this one is from there taken at sunset. Several posts following this will be from there.

anxious

I have few more black and white portraits that I want to share at this point.

Tired girl

This little girl got tired at shopping and fell a sleep on her mothers shoulder. So adorable. I did two version of this. I prefer the first, softer one…sleep – soft?

Woman

I love taking photos of people. I try to capture a moment in the photo, A true feeling, not a plastic smile. I say this woman sitting and taking in the life around her – and took the shot. Black and white portraits are something I really enjoy. I have here the original photo in color and this final version. Do you agree with me that the BW has more magic in it?Maposa , Goa (91)-4

New Year in Calancute, Goa

I usually do not write that much, but here are some photo’s taken at the beach in Calancute, Goa.

The beach was so full of Indians from the countryside, most had not seen the sea before, the joy they showed was so childlike. Tourist are a minority in this party even if there were plenty of us there also. The techno music came from every shack on the beach, different noice from all of them, you could hardly talk. There were beautiful bonfire’s on the beach and people were sending memory kite’s, we also tried, they looked beautiful in the dark sky. At midnight the fire works started and lasted for some time. Quite wonderful.

Spices

I spent two weeks in Goa, India in the country of curry’s and Tikka Masala’s and so on…I arrived home a week ago, but have been suffering still from the Indian Welcome as the doctor said, after seeing me at my hotel room. Stomach flu vaused by a bacteria. I thought I’d post one photo to say hi to all, still seeing these posts :-). I just loaded my photos so I will drop the slowly but surely here as I have time to edit them to predentable form.

Here are some spices from the market, I bought some so now I have fresh spices for some time.
