Mood board with Soft Floral Hues

I loved the idea of a mood board, particularly one that features flowers arranged in soft pink tones, which create a serene and inviting atmosphere. I did my previous post about it. This beautiful color palette not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also evokes feelings of warmth and tranquility, making it an ideal choice for any interior space. A bedroom adorned with such delicate hues can transform it into a personal sanctuary for relaxation and restful sleep, while a living room decorated in these soft shades creates a cozy and welcoming vibe, perfect for moments with loved ones.

Now I am introducing a new flower palette, incorporating soft yellows and gentle browns can enhance the warmth of the space, making it feel more intimate. Soft orange, especially in muted shades, can introduce a subtle pop of color without overwhelming the senses, while various tones of green can serve as a beautiful contrast, giving the room a fresh and vibrant feel. This combination of colors not only adds depth but also allows for a seamless blend of nature-inspired elements, ideal for anyone looking to create a harmonious living environment. What would these tones be suitable for, you might wonder? They could work wonderfully in spaces that seek to promote tranquility and comfort, such as reading nooks or meditation corners, making a profound impact on the overall ambiance.

This color palette inspiration for the mood board began with shrubby cinquefoil, a vibrant plant admired for its stunning yellow flowers and lush green leaves. The warm glow of its golden petals brings forth a sense of life and energy, encouraging an appreciation for the natural beauty it embodies. Earthy shades and soft neutrals blend seamlessly with the striking accent of the cinquefoil, resulting in a lively yet harmonious aesthetic that remains inviting—ideal for any design endeavor aiming to connect on a profound level. The palette can also be reflected in the gently fading hydrangea arborescens, with a snail on it continuing the theme as seen on the header.

For no reason other than that I wanted to post these photos taken from my backyard is this post done. Struggling with what to post, why to post and contemplating the reasons behind sharing moments like these, I find myself lost in a sea of hesitation and uncertainty. The beauty of my surroundings often feels too mundane to share, yet there’s a certain charm in the ordinary that I can’t help but appreciate. Each photo captures a fleeting moment amidst the chaos of life, and while I grapple with the idea of their significance, I am reminded that sometimes it’s not about the grand stories or profound insights; it’s about celebrating the little things, embracing the simplicity of life, and allowing these images to resonate with anyone who might pause to look.

bright Poppy Blooms

Unexpectedly, the two vibrant orange poppy blooms brightened my garden, their cheerful colors radiating joy against the lush greenery surrounding them. I was thrilled to see them, as they infused the flowerbed with a sense of happiness and vitality. It felt like nature had presented me with a wonderfully delightful surprise.

The Society of the Four Arts

The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach garden, Florida. Such a lovely spot to take a break, I don’t think a really appreciated all the different gardens- or to be honest noticed them, but it was a lovely spot to visit. See some art. There were several people there reading, stretching and drawing and just sitting in the shadows of the pergolas

.Originally designed in 1938, the Botanical Gardens are demonstration gardens that educate residents and visitors about the diversity of plants that thrive in South Florida’s climate. The gardens are divided into themed spaces that reflect popular architectural and planting styles in the area: Chinese Garden, Fragrant Moonlight Garden, Palm Garden, Bromeliad Garden, Jungle Garden, Spanish Facade Garden, Formal Garden, Tropical Garden, and Madonna Garden.

My favorite was the Chinese garden and I found the statues and art to be lovely.

The different areas of the garden were lovely also even if it was winter.

There were several statues in the garden I took photos of some of them.

Something I noticed #2

I will be posting random posts with a title Something I noticed. It can be a flower, a landscape, person, still life, you name it. Hope you enjoy my ranbom shots, life is pieced together from random experiences, so my next month is filled with small bits of joy or pleasurable sights.

I already posted one post about Mustion Linna , Mustio Manor, last time a falsely named it Mustio castle 🙂 The old trees in the garden are so lovely.

Visiting Villa San Michele in Capri , looking at the long pergola and the that garden begins in the shade of the wisteria of the pergola, culminates bathed in sunlight on the Sphinx terrace and finds its end along an elegant avenue of cypresses. Every season has its flowers and scents of camellias, tree peonies, hydrangeas, vines and orange blossom.

The sphinx at Villa San Michele is approximately 3200 years old. It comes from Egypt and is carved in red granite.

I love the sea, beaches, forests, mountains, countryside and lovely cities and the people in them. Colors; blue, green, red, white, yellows and what ever you can find around you. I love beauty and these photos remind me of beauty I have seen.

Visiting Villa San Michele in Capri , looking at Hermes

Where the sculpture loggia ends and the long pergola begins stands a bronze statue that somehow marks the transition between indoors and out of doors. It represents the messenger of the gods, Hermes, sitting at rest. The small wings on the sides of his feet are folded. The sculpture is a turn of the 19th century copy of an antique original which was excavated in Herculaneum and now stands in the Archaeological Museum in Naples. This work of art was a gift to Munthe from the City of Naples in recognition of his relief work during the cholera epidemic 1884-85. (text: villasanmichele.eu/collection)

Oriental Bittersweet

These are some of the colors we still have in our backyard at home, orange, yellow, brown and green. In this post it is about Oriental Bittersweet that grows on our fence. What is left on it at the moment is orange color in the form of berries. Earlier in the autumn it was vivid yellow with yellow berries that now at the end of October have turned orange.
