Victoria, Brighton Beach

Brighton Beach

Here you have 82 distinctive bathing boxes, a row of uniformly proportioned wooden structures lining the foreshore at Brighton Beach.

Built well over a century ago in response to very Victorian ideas of morality and seaside bathing, the bathing boxes remain almost unchanged. All retain classic Victorian architectural features with timber framing, weatherboards and corrugated iron roofs, though they also bear the hallmarks of individual licencees’ artistic and colourful embellishments.

Just try to resist pulling out your camera and snapping away, I for sure was not able to do that! Text from https://www.visitvictoria.com/

Sydney ~2

We were rather tired the first day so we walked a bit, some street shots of Sydney few days before Xmas. Our first day and it was raining.

Sydney ~1

We were greeted in Sydney with this happy dude called Doug and  kids of Leo entertaining the crowd by singing. So here are few street photos from George street. I was sitting on a bench as this little kid slept in his dads arms while mom was doing Xmas shopping. The pretty lady across the street just caught my eye.

How to survive November~28

I have to admit, I have been busy at work, so the idea of sitting down and opening the computer again has been rather hard, so here I am catching up. I have taken photos daily, most of them crappy. That is why I am not going to post them,  I will cheat a bit. I will post some more from the circus as it was inspiring and it certainly helped the survival of this month.

How to survive November ~5

On way to survive is to listen to music. I took these photos of Michael Monroe performing at a work event I attended. Quality is not that great, but then again we are talking and taking photos of surviving darkness.48948483-620b-40a8-a6d8-e6a7422d8e76-1

How to Survive November 2017 -13

Thursday. The restaurant we daily use has Pea soup as one of the main dishes and crepes with ice cream, strawberry jam and whipped cream for desert every Thursday. That helps the survival weekly. Tasty!!jätski

How to Survive November 2017 -11

I am surviving it’s grey outside, but i have a new hair color so all is good! Is this not one of the most annoying questions, what should I do with my hair? This time I solved it this way. Blonder, shorter.  The other question is, what should we make for dinner?

Do you agree with these very important questions or do you have better annoying and hard and more important questions?

The reflection on a train window – not something I get to photograph that often or that it would come to my mind to do so, but it is November. And the sun was shining again today. That is a wow factor for sure!

Street photography in Helsinki

Helsinki by day-01886-2

Street photography at Kapteeninkatu in Helsinki. The Finnish flag was Half-mast for our former President Mauno Koivisto who had passed away the day before.  I have photos in color and Monochrome, for some reason they appeal to me in street photography. What your opinion about it?
