Glass door at the top of the stairs in Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco. I did too edits of just because, no other reason, which one resonates with you? The color or the black, white and red one – with a touch of blue ?
I have to admit, for a door photo the door doesn’t look like the main point. Well, that what it is a glass door at the stop of the stair that has blue light behind it.

During the dark season the entrance and stairs at our local railway station in Kirkkonummi provides some bright colors and it is a nice contrast to the dark days. I have to say even so I prefer the monochrome images to the color ones. the Leading lines and structure is more defined. Thoughts?

I love black and white photography – or monochrome, what evet we wish to call it. So under this Monochrome title I will try to post regularly images that I think look good in this format. Hope you enjoy them.
Stairs, up and down. Come and go… Just something I noticed and really liked. The light play, leading lines.
Three takes in color and black and white versions too, looking at the stairs from three different angles. Up, down and from the side.



The darkest version is my favorite. That was not hard to guess, it think 🙂

Here is my this weeks entry to Monochrome Madness .I took a day trip to Estonia and this was taken when people were lining up to leave the ship.


I have taken so many photos of steps, stairways and you are going to see some of them in the near future. I love the idea that they lead you somewhere and you you don’t know what it is. Also the play of light and shadows, it makes a good photo in my opinion. Texture…
