WPC Evanescent

PHOTO CHALLENGE Evanescent was a new word to me, as I am not a native English speaker, ev·a·nes·cent [evəˈnes(ə)nt] Soon passing out of sight, memory, or existence; quickly fading or disappearing.

When I was a kid, when taking car trips, we would try to spot cows on the side of the road. Pass the time counting them… Well it is not a sight you see to often now a days, at least were I live. These are from near my summer place, countryside. Even there you do not see cows that often. And seeing them, it does bring memories of day less hectic and fast paced.

Our spring is totally messed up, Saturday it was sunny +19, today evening it was snowing and +2C. These are from Saturday  just prior sunset. I like how the light colors the trees.

We stopped to have coffee at Pop up Kahvila Liuskasaari. If you visit the island be sure to pop there. Nice and friendly service and the pancakes and coffee were delicious.

 The theme this week at WPC  PHOTO CHALLENGE  is Earth. What is means to you. Here in Finland nature is a given, it can be found in your back yard. Forest and lakes are all around us. Earth is were we get our food, water and peace.  It could also be the beautiful mountains, oceans, animal. This is a huge topic… I am going to go with a view that touches my heart every summer – field at the country side near my summer house.
