Challenge is: Exploration!
This was one smelly exploration to a fish market in Negombo, Sri Lanka.
The Fish market was so far from the sterile shops we have here in Finland. This place had life, smells and tons of fresh fish.
It was an experience I won’t forget

This Silence chapel at Kamppi has inspired these pictures..
Present are the light coming indirectly from above and the warm feel of the materials. The inner walls of the chapel area are lined with common alder planks cut to shape. The simple furnishing of the hall are made of massive ash tree. The silver cross at the altar was sculpted by artist blacksmith

Silence chapel of Kamppi
Silence chapel of Kamppi
Between two of the city’s main shopping malls, and the iconic 1930’s Lasipalatsi building, this circular wooden structure is a surprisingly bold architectural statement in one of the busiest parts of Helsinki. Designed by the studio K25 (consisting of three young architects) the awarded building is a site for meditation, its plain minimalist form inviting quiet reflection.
Made out of Finnish timber, the design shows great sensibility for the use of local materials. Without side windows light falls from above through an oval gap around the ceiling, creating a sense of calmness. The chapel demonstrates how contemporary architecture at its best can fascinate and inspire. It is one of the true centerpieces of the WDC 2012 program. (CNN)

Rhythem – my search for it
Rytmi – haasteessa oli tarkoitus löytää rytmiä valokuva kohteista. Ohessa minun rytmini, on jazzia, marssimusiikkia sekä hip hoppia…
Rhythm – the challenge was to find a rhythm in the photography subjects.. Here is my visual rhythms, , the jazz, marching music, and hip hop .
Minun yhteys maailmaan vahvistuu aaltojen rytmistä ( pienistä laineista tai aallokosta)
… Onnellisuudessa ei ole kyse intensiteetistä vaan tasapainosta ja järjestyksen ja rytmin ja harmonian välillä.
My connection to the earth is reinforced through the rhythm of the waves, (small waves or the surf)
… Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.
Peaceful
In this week’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge, we’re challenging bloggers to get outside & photograph things in nature which make them feel peaceful!
I do not like winter, but it is beautiful now that the snow has arrived to brighten the few hours of light we have here in the north, this scenery is peaceful in spite the fact that it’s freezing.

Nature’s ART
- This old oak tree had its bark peeled of, and beneath it this piece of Nature’s art was found . This great pattern was engraved there in by the larvae s.

This time, I challenge all to find a subject that is already / naturally black and white,
the image should not be treated black and white, and will not be allowed to take black and white camera settings!

Water
The idea was to photograph water – I was trying to find new way of seeing it –
