I drove to the lake to take photos of a swan family, but they were not there, so I’ve added a photo my son took the night before. We are enjoying beautiful weather in Finland at the moment, but we must take all the joy from now, as you never know when it ends.

Time to enjoy and relax

One of my latest Artworks
Here are some photos from our day walk on a Beautiful summer Sunday in Seurasaari Island, Helsinki. Hope you have the time to go through all the pictures of this lovely place.

The island provides a lovely setting for outdoor recreation, sun worshippers and walkers. The tame ducks, swans and geese swarming around the white wooden bridge welcome everybody. Notice the baby swans next to the rock

Having crossed a visitors can see buildings from all over Finland that have been relocated to Seurasaari island. The buildings represent various aspects of living in Finland from the 17th century to the 20th century. There are currently 87 buildings in the museum.

The nature is strongly present in the Seurasaari Island, wild flowers, trees , small wood areas. The paths make it easy to walk around without disturbing the nature.

Summer day in Helsinki, sitting in the park people watching and enjoying tasty ice cream, having lunch at a restaurant. What a beautiful capital we have.
It is rare to see cows outside nowadays, so I get exited every time I do see them in the field. You can see them more than some years back, but still. So, I ask my hubby to stop the car so I can take photos, he kindly obliges so my whims. Now I would like to share my excitement (photos) of seeing HAPPY COWS under the blue sky on green field.

I Witnessed the rugged splendour of the famous 12 Apostles, magnificent rock stacks that rise up majestically from the Southern Ocean on Victoria’s dramatic coastline. And you can tell I was impressed by the amount of photos I took there.
Created by constant erosion of the limestone cliffs of the mainland beginning 10–20 million years ago, the stormy Southern Ocean and blasting winds gradually eroded the softer limestone, forming caves in the cliffs.
The caves eventually became arches and when they collapsed rock stacks up to 45 metres high were left isolated from the shore. View the 12 Apostles at sunrise and sunset as they change colour from dark and foreboding in shadow to brilliant sandy yellow under a full sun. ( text from visit Melbourne)
Still in Australia, the beautiful coast of Victoria certainly stole my heart.

I was once again sitting in my office editing photos, when I noticed a bunny eating dinner at out front yard. I looked so cute surrounded by dandelions. These are not the best pictures as I took them through my window ( which had by the way been cleaned the previous day) it stayed and entertained me for some time. Here is Bunny

I saw these two turtles also when visiting Australia, as with previous post of the frog I totally forgot I had this shot, as I did go overboard with the amount of pictures I took there.
Once again I am lifting my own tail, but this is rather nice shot. I could have have had little bit larger f number for larger area of focus, but these are such at the moment shots… The turtles look happy, eh?

Looking at old photos I found this picture of a green frog. I had not anything to it as, well it did not look all that impressive. Now I rather like it

Not much editing was needed here, it was a really warm sunset in yellows and oranges. Sea, Sailboat, sunset, that is a picture made of. Warm regards to all 🙂

Sitting on the the Negombo beach I watched wind surfers do their magic. Looking at the photos again I thought they would look good also with a B&W edit. What do you think?

I have very fond memories of our visit to Negombo in Sri Lanka. This was taken on the beach in front of our hotel. During the day the sand was so hot, but in the evening so nice and warm under your feet.
the CB&W topic is outdoor-ways-to-move-up-or-down -my take on it is mainly stairs. Here is my input for this week . These are new edits from my visit to France.

This is was taken in Thailand in Phuket, this a damaged vessel from the tsunami. Rust looks good in photos, not that this vessel is going to sail anymore.
Beautiful snow covered mountain as seem when approaching the city.

I have edited a bunch of old photos some are new finds that I did not remember taking and some I am re-posting after new edits, over the years I have learned view things and I now have lightroom that i use to edit. I am able to bring out new details to some photos. This is taken n a boat as we were sailing towards Vancouver

Back to the archives, this is an old sunset photo I discovered when searching for shots that I’ve disregarded, now after editing , not so shabby.

Porkkalanniemi is in Kirkkonummi the area I live in, we visit it quite often and the natural beauty of the place never lets me down. The area consists of rocky shores, pine forest, and beautiful outlooks onto the sea. The Porkkala cape stretches far out to the sea. These are from our yesterdays visit.

We visited Kopparnäs-Störsvik and we were treated to undeveloped coastline as far as the eye can see and rocky outcrops rising high above sea level. The area was perfect for enjoying the peace and quiet of the forest and seaside. Watching the swans – they were eating most of the time 🙂

I took this photo of a photo at SkyPoint (formerly Q1 Observation Deck and QDeck) at the top of the Q1 on the Gold Coast, Australia. I liked the photo and now I’ve played with it, practicing my editing skills, as I think is a great shot.
