the Serenity of September Rain

September rain, it came down heavily and slowly and heavily again, drenching the earth in a soothing rhythm that seemed to echo the heartbeat of the world. The wind, both gentle and powerful, swirled through the yard, frolicking amid the vibrant green leaves and twirling branches of the trees that swayed almost rhythmically, while droplets moving fast in the dim light, creating a serene but moody atmosphere. That is the feeling of the day at my house.

Raindrops cascade through lush green leaves, creating a serene atmosphere amidst the forest backdrop.

Amidst the gentle rustle of tree branches, each drop a note that dances through the leaves. The air is fragrant with the earthy scent of damp soil and fallen petals, as nature sighs. Sunlight filters softly through the splattered droplets, creating a mosaic of light and shadow, while the world stands still, cradled in the embrace of autumn’s first whispers. Grateful, the trees sway gently, their limbs catching the rhythm of the rain, celebrating the transition to a season rich with change and renewal.

a red shed through a rain-soaked window.

I’m at my summer house, in the countryside, inside watching outside as the rain pours down the windows, creating a rhythm with the wind that makes everything feel peaceful. As I try to pass the time, I took a few photos, capturing the raindrops cascading down the glass, and had an ‘aha’ moment when I remembered that our shed, in the corner of the yard, is painted a red, which contrasts with the lush greenery surrounding it, just what I need for simply red today.

Capturing Rain

I seem to capture rain from the car or the safety of indoors mostly, but I should wonder out more often in the rain, preferably during the night and into the city to capture the unique mood and vibrant lights reflecting on the pavement. There’s something enchanting about the city at night when it’s wet, as the streets glisten and shimmer, creating a magical atmosphere.

Debbie’s One Word Sunday: Rain

Autumn is here, a time when it often rain, which might just be my new learning topic: capturing rain. I could explore different locations, experimenting with angles and compositions, and perhaps even play with long exposure shots to capture the movement of raindrops dancing on surfaces. This could turn into a creative project, forcing me to engage with the elements and see the beauty in the mundane, although I often doubt whether I will follow through. Probably not, but maybe it should be.

Capturing the Storm’s Symphony

This last image is AI generated, the first two mine taken by my mobile of the same situation. Capturing the Storm’s Symphony: Driving Through Heavy Rain on the motorway.

The raindrops furiously pounded against the windshield, blurring the lights of the cars ahead. The sound of the rain on the roof resonated throughout the car, creating a somber symphony. As the wipers rhythmically swept back and forth, I marveled at the storm’s raw power, appreciating the shelter and security of the car. The AI-generated image, although striking, couldn’t capture the sensory experience of being enveloped by the torrential downpour while cocooned in a metal shell.

Moody weather

Taken today from through the car window, a pine tree in our yard and elms that still have yellow brown leaves on them when nearly all tree are bare.

Rain

Weather

I have been uninspired and slightly depressed ( I just had a birthday) about growing old, a small age crisis 🙂 plus for some reason I actually ache real physically. So much joy in getting old. So I have been absent from the blog world mostly. I will weather this, I am totally working on it. As a positive person I do not dwell on these for long.

I took these some days back when we had some rainy days. They someway reflect my mood…. I see a small light ahead, and it is getting brighter. A minimalistic take on the weather

Rain, rain and rainbow

We drove back to our summer house and as I was sitting by the fireplace it started raining and I went from window to window trying to capture it. These are the unedited photos 😊

Something I noticed #6

Weather, something I notice everyday and at this moment listened to, and it appealed to me. Listen, listen to the falling rain…

Very mundane, still so pleasing. This song often comes to mind when listening to rain.

Falling rain

Listen to it pour,
And with every drop of rain
You know I love you more
Let it rain all night long
Let my love for you grow strong,
As long as we’re together
Who cares about the weather?
Listen to the falling rain
Listen to it pour
And with every drop of rain,
I can hear you call,
Call my name right out loud,
I can hear above the clouds
And I’m here among the puddles
You and I together huddle.
Listen to the falling rain,
Listen to it rain.

Rain…

Rain

We are having some heavy duty rain at the moment, I woke up couple times in the early morning hours to the sound of it. Luckily I fell asleep again quickly to an odd dream. These ones are taken from my car while waiting for my hubby to come back from the store which I had no desire to go to.

Rainbow colors~2

As the rainbow was behind my back and I was facing the lake with the sun shining on my face in as a slight drizzle came down I took these photos of the rain. I was able to capture the “rainbow balls” I do not know the name for this effect, but I am very happy with these captures, what do you think ?

Matinkylä (4)

Yesterdays sunshine turned to rain, me and a huge amount of others went to the mall to escape the rain…these are taken on the way home. Quite notable is  that this is also taken little after 3 PM… what a difference a day makes.

How to Survive November 2017 -7

I was coming to the parking garage from grocery shopping to see sunshine and rain in  November Kirkkonummi parking garagethe afternoon. It was just after 3 PM and the sun was already going down.

The light will win, in time

Last week I lost my sister to a very brief battle of cancer. My mood has been sad and forlorn. I have not been able consentrate in photos… Yesterday I sat by the sea at Porkkalanniemi and the there was rain approaching us and clear sunshine at the other side…In time this is how I will feel the dark rain filled clouds will clear to a more sunny time.Porkkalanniemi-Finland-04590

Droplets in the rain

I don’t know what came over me yesterday, I went out in the rain to photograph droplets. Here is the results from that outing.
