These are taken in Sri Lanka early morning in the port of Mirissa.
The top three photos were taken in further away in the open sea on our way to whale watching
These photos below are taken near the fish market in Negombo, Sri Lanka.
I’m participating in LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge. This week’s Challenge is: Movement!
I haven’t had time to photograph lately, but I went thru my archives to find some movement… fish school – riptide – people at sea – kite surfer – waterfall.
I’m participating in LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge. This week’s Challenge is: Birds of a Feather!
Both of the above are living birds, even though the other one looks fake… 🙂 But I do not know the names of these birds

These are the colors of spring… yellow, green and white. Impatiently waiting for them.
This morning the temperature was -21C, so no spring for us yet.
The first signs are dandelions popping up, the new light green of the grass and the whiteness of cow parsley growing by the sidewalks

This week’s Challenge is: Black and White!
I find that when photographing nature in black and white has to have good shadows and light all in balance, also I find that graphic shapes come out looking best. Tree trunks, roads, flowers with graphic shape…here are some of my shots.

I’m participating in the online adventure travel and photography magazine LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggersThis week’s Challenge is: People in Nature!
I took a simple approach to this…all kids love to play in the nature, well at least mine did.
We spent hours daily playing in woods, ditches and by the sea. I wish all kids had that opportunity. These did – all in different countries.
This is not something I would do but Ice swimming is supposedly good for your health.
I took some pictures of the flowing water that keeps the ice hole open and the edges of the hole look lovely – artistic.
Rytmi – haasteessa oli tarkoitus löytää rytmiä valokuva kohteista. Ohessa minun rytmini, on jazzia, marssimusiikkia sekä hip hoppia…
Rhythm – the challenge was to find a rhythm in the photography subjects.. Here is my visual rhythms, , the jazz, marching music, and hip hop .
Minun yhteys maailmaan vahvistuu aaltojen rytmistä ( pienistä laineista tai aallokosta)
… Onnellisuudessa ei ole kyse intensiteetistä vaan tasapainosta ja järjestyksen ja rytmin ja harmonian välillä.
My connection to the earth is reinforced through the rhythm of the waves, (small waves or the surf)
… Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.
