Not the loveliest looking bird, the Pelican , but it sure has a presence you cannot ignore.
As I few posts back I said, that I will start this year with sunshine and fond memories of my last visit to Florida until my new visit, where I will create new sunny memories. I love the sun, beaches, ocean. Nature. Trees, birds, butterflies. I am not a winter person even though I live here in the north. Lets sail into the sunset!
We ended the year in blue and white tones, Lets start this year of wit a splash of warm colors.

I visited British Columbia year and half ago, while driving in the coutryside I walked into this abandoned farm house. I think these are documentary photos. I find it odd in away that such decay transforms into rather interesting photographs, what do you think. Have I been able to capture the decay and odd beauty into these shots?

WPC PHOTO CHALLENGE theme this week is Heritage. I visited Cyprus few years back, at At the Tombs of the Kings (Pathos) you could feel the history the heritage. The underground tombs, many of which date back to the 4th century BC, are carved out of solid rock, and are thought to have been the burial sites of Paphitic aristocrats and high officials up to the third century AD.

The theme is movement or moving, here is my interpretation for Monochrome Madness this week.

I like so many of us to love travel, near or far. Here are photos from a trip I took to India – Goa. Even thought it is more a tourist place than many others, the reality and the poverty was a shock to me. The colors and smells left and lasting imprint into my memory. Here are the photos I chose to this WPC PHOTO CHALLENGE Wanderlust. May the last one be the main photo, a little boy digging a ditch – and not for fun, still happily waving his hand with smile on his face.
My entry to for this weeks Monochrome Madness is a photo from my trip to south Beach Miami. I have been very slow in going through my photographs from my trip but here are several of Night lights in Monochrome -check the link to see which I chose to send to Leanne.#monochromemadness #Leannecole

My entry to Monochrome Madness is this photo from Naples Pier in Florida. Great back light outlines the silhouettes clearly.
