Afternoon mist & blue moment

A flower’s appeal is in its contradictions – so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect.

Green Leaves

This is the original with added contrast and clarity

below you see the ones I used stronger editing to create different mood and colors. I find this fun and a learning experience. More “Art Photography” like.

I am cultivating my editing skills, trying to create different atmospheres with one photo.

The first one is the original with slight edits in contrast, clarity and vibrancy and exposure. This was already a macro so did not need to crop it.

After the rain

I captured these droplets after a rain, even if I say so myself, I like it 🙂

Dandelions

I love taking black and white photos of dandelion seeds, I think they look so much better this way than in color. This years take on the familiar spring , early summer topic.

Fresh from the cottage

I am self-isolating at my summer house and once again documenting the spring miracles that brighten our minds and spirits every year. The light is so strong up-lifter of the mood. We have lots of light now and I am so happy about it, as I am about the new green, beginnings of summer.

found in an old chair

I has you guessing in an earlier post as to what I’ve photographed, well, these are from the same topic, old chair springs that he replaced for new ones. It is hard to find new things to take photos off. Soon we will have spring and I can see the nature come to bloom and that will help a lot. Take care everyone of yourself and your loved ones.

All photos can be enlarged by clicking the image.

Can you guess?

As social-distancing is the thing one needs to find things to photograph at home or in my case my own yard too. Can you guess what I’ve photographed?

Feb 3rd

It is so weird, it is supposed to be heart of winter and our nature is at least two months ahead. We have all the signs of spring here. I took a walk outside, no rain but a beautiful sunny day to capture oddness of this winter.

Bokeh delight

This flower gives me joy every summer, I love how the light filters through the leaves of the bush in the afternoon sun. I love the colorful bokeh the leaves create.

Nature’s pearl

Past few days we have had several rainy days and that has let me to a droplet chase. I am rather pleased with few. You will be seeing them in my coming posts. The green is so powerful and healing. The droplets are nature’s pearls. I added also the B&W versions too. This minimalist style also works in rather well in B&W photos, in my humble opinion 🙂

December 2018 ~ 10

Tomorrow, tomorrow I will begin my holiday, yes! Sunshine, we are coming your way!I was in training today and it was boring… candy sweetened it a bit.

December 2018~1

Yep! December…Maybe I should return to my regular way of posting, no words! I usually do not have much to say and I like to be under the illusion that the photos speak for themselves. Here is a frozen cone from my backyard. The setting sun gave the background a beautiful bokeh. I have edited the images trying to find the best look for the the frame. Which one works the best in your opinion, if any?

Colors

Colors! I walked through the fruit section in our grocery store. Color therapy, bright, vibrant colors.. I think we all can agree that colors are good for the soul and fruits to our body.

Random July 10

Shooting bubbles in a glass. I think the most trying thing to get right was the mixture of dishwasher and oil and obviously the amount of water. This is my first attempt, you might see more of these in the future.
