I found it hard to decide what kind of point to post – so I have answer from pointy statues – landmarks. they always seem to have a point on them.
And well back to nature Juniper is rather pointy! And one thing that has nothing to go with Statues and nature – palette knife… ;.) What can I say wondering mind

Turku Cathedral
tina´s wordless wednesday # 88
Turku Cathedral is the Mother Church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, and the country’s national shrine. It is also regarded as one of the major records of Finnish architectural history.
Considered to be the most important religious building in Finland, the cathedral has borne witness to many important events in the nation’s history and has become one of the city’s most recognizable symbols. The cathedral is situated in the heart of Turku next to the Old Great Square, by the river Aura. Its presence extends beyond the local precinct by having the sound of its bells chiming at noon broadcast on national radio. It is also central to Finland’s annual Christmas celebrations.
The cathedral was originally built out of wood in the late 13th century, and was dedicated as the main cathedral of Finland in 1300, the seat of the bishop of Turku. It was considerably expanded in the 14th and 15th centuries, mainly using stone as the construction material. The cathedral was badly damaged during the Great Fire of Turku in 1827, and was rebuilt to a great extent afterward

Clouds
I’m participating in the online adventure travel and outdoor photography magazine Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggersThis week’s Challenge is: Clouds!
Here are clouds from Ruuhijärvi, Nastola in Finland, and sunset clouds at Kwai River , Thailand.

April
April is a cruel time
Even though the sun may shine
And world looks in the shade as it slowly comes away
Still falls the April rain
And the valley’s filled with pain
And you can’t tell me quite why
As I look up to the gray sky
Where it should be blue
Grey sky where I should see you
Ask why, why it should be so
I’ll cry, say that I don’t knowBaby once in a while I’ll forget and I’ll smile
But then the feeling comes again of an April without end
Of an April lonely as a girl
In the dark of my mind I can see all too fine
But there is nothing to be done when I just can’t feel the sun
And the springtime’s the season of the night
Even though the sun may shine
And world looks in the shade as it slowly comes away
Still falls the April rain
And the valley’s filled with pain
And you can’t tell me quite why
As I look up to the gray sky
Where it should be blue
Grey sky where I should see you
Ask why, why it should be so
I’ll cry, say that I don’t knowBaby once in a while I’ll forget and I’ll smile
But then the feeling comes again of an April without end
Of an April lonely as a girl
In the dark of my mind I can see all too fine
But there is nothing to be done when I just can’t feel the sun
And the springtime’s the season of the night
Grey sky where it should be blue
Grey sky where I should see you
Ask why, why it should be so
I’ll cry, say that I don’t know
I don’t know

it is a piece of heaven – when we have blue skies, “warm” winter weather -2C, no wind…

I thought I would not find these colors at all…
Yesterday when walking I saw this flower holder built on this house – I took a photo reference so my husband could build me one.
Well at least I can dream that he will 🙂 So lucky me – I think the colors are in this 🙂

This Silence chapel at Kamppi has inspired these pictures..
Present are the light coming indirectly from above and the warm feel of the materials. The inner walls of the chapel area are lined with common alder planks cut to shape. The simple furnishing of the hall are made of massive ash tree. The silver cross at the altar was sculpted by artist blacksmith

Silence chapel of Kamppi
Silence chapel of Kamppi
Between two of the city’s main shopping malls, and the iconic 1930’s Lasipalatsi building, this circular wooden structure is a surprisingly bold architectural statement in one of the busiest parts of Helsinki. Designed by the studio K25 (consisting of three young architects) the awarded building is a site for meditation, its plain minimalist form inviting quiet reflection.
Made out of Finnish timber, the design shows great sensibility for the use of local materials. Without side windows light falls from above through an oval gap around the ceiling, creating a sense of calmness. The chapel demonstrates how contemporary architecture at its best can fascinate and inspire. It is one of the true centerpieces of the WDC 2012 program. (CNN)
