Visiting lake Konnivesi in Iitti, so nice and peaceful, Finnish summer is the best ( when its warm and sunny).

it was a beautiful misty summer night at the countryside, I went for a walk…with my camera and this is something I captured on my camera.

As we walked around the island, we came across this swan nesting her eggs. We made sure we did not go too close as they might leave the nest if you go too near the nest.
The female swan nests alone. The male is guarding the nest or is eating somewhere further away. The female rarely leaves the eggs during this month’s nesting time. So it’s virtually not eating of for four weeks. Even when the female leaves for a small distance to get something from the edible from the bottom of the sea it covers its eggs so they do not cool too much.

This week I have picked a street photograph, a coffee moment outside. A man, obviously enjoying a cup of coffee and reading the morning paper. This is my pick for Monochrome Madness this week. The original is included for comparison.
PHOTO CHALLENGE Reflecting
Whether it’s water or some other reflective surface, what have you seen recently that has changed your perspective on the view?

Here is my post for MM-4-1 – for some reason the original post had disappeared, so here it is again.
We stopped to have coffee at Pop up Kahvila Liuskasaari. If you visit the island be sure to pop there. Nice and friendly service and the pancakes and coffee were delicious.

Helsinki our capital is such a beautiful city, that is my opinion 🙂 I took these pictures when walking to the train after a meeting…mobile phones do have good cameras now days

Hvitträsk was designed to be a studio home for the members of the Finnish architecture firm Gesellius, Lindgren, and Saarinen. It later became the private residence of Eliel Saarinen. It is located about 30 kilometers (19 mi) west of Helsinki in Kirkkonummi, Finland. These photos are from the grounds of Hvitträsk and the lake was now white 🙂
.[H]vitträsk literally means White Lake
