Tinka my CAT

It has been once again a day of rain and sunshine. Mostly rain. I drove to Lohja Hospital to have a Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of my foot that has bothered me for a year and a half now. Hopefully after these new ones they will know what to do with it. Operation or just continue as it is… well this is not what my picture are about. As I said I drove there, it was through the country roads and this is what I tooks photos of. Our ever changing clouds

Today is supposedly the last day of summer according to article I read in the paper. The rains are coming down on us from tomorrow. Lets see what happens…
But in the mean while here is a photo I want to share. I am starting my fall by taking on painting again and I will also start to study / do sculpture after few years of doing nothing on either of these hobbies of mine. And the photo – I thought I would use this photo as an inspiration on my first painting.

The autumn colors are coming more obvious the change of the green to more yellow tones, muted. Orange and reds appearing on the leaves. Yesterday it poured, rain, sunshine, rain …in between i went hunting for droplets. Here is the shot of the day. I also have added the blurred and not so focused shots as I like them for the artsy feel. Not everything needs to be perfect.

This is also the time of year that spider webs can be found on a misty morning. More of my weekend finds.

I am repeating myself quit a bit, but cant help myself. I love the mist in August. Obviously I have tons of photos of it. Some better than others. Here are some, surprise, surprise from our summer house.

This colorful and talented drummer was all smiles while drumming in the center of Helsinki on a beautiful August day.

I have looked at Helsinki with a tourist eye as I have seen my friends in the city. Catching up with friends is so much fun, I should take take time more often than I do. Best thing about good friends is that they remain that even if you don’t see that often. Helsinki has not lost its appeal to me even if I visit it less frequently.

I adore B&W photos so this week the topic at CB&W is things made of wood. Here is my contribution to this topic.

I love the soft and sweet August light, the mist that comes after the rain and the colors of it. One again I spent a weekend at my summer place. I have gotten to the habit of leaving my computer home so I do not end up by mistake spending hours on it. These are from Saturday evening.

the lungs of the earth. Love them,it is also the totpic on CFFC this week.

I took notice the past week of lighting in few of the places we visited as the topic this week gor CB&W is lighting. Hope you enjoy them.

I had so many problems with loading the photos into the last post at least 4 attempts to have them in a gallery of my choosing. So I got frustrated and I’ve stayed away for four days. Let’s hope this post is easier. Suomenlinna is a lovely place to visit so I decided to share the joy with you – again .

Visited on of Helsinki’s most popular tourist attractions today. It has been years since I was here. The place has history Suomenlinna (Finnish; until 1918 Viapori), or Sveaborg , literal translation in Finnish is Castle of Finland inhabited sea fortress built on six islands and which now forms part of the city of Helsinki. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and also it as a picturesque picnic site. Originally named Sveaborg. The Swedish crown commenced the construction of the fortress in 1748 as protection against the Russian expansionism. This particular day it was packed with locals as well as tourist as the day was just lovely. Here is some background on the place.

Wow, an other post I have doe, but not posted. This is easy to to see where the photos are from.

I certainly hope that some of these shots turned inspiring, I lost a pair of my favorite sunglasses into the rapids. I have found a post from some time back that I forgot to post
This week on CB&W the the topic is back of things. Here is my take on the topic

Love walking in gardens. This being the topic this week at CFFC so here we go a garden from my trip to Vancouver.
