Evening dusk in Hong Kong

Melbourne, city, night time, skyline and sunset that is what this post is about.

The best street art in Melbourne !
Don’t let one of the world’s biggest living art exhibitions pass you by… we didn’t 🙂 . Street art covers so many places in this, colourful city, but there are more highly concentrated clusters than others. We visited at least Hosier Lane, Beaney lane, Duckboard Place, Flinders Lane, and AC/DC Lane. I was impressed.

Here you have 82 distinctive bathing boxes, a row of uniformly proportioned wooden structures lining the foreshore at Brighton Beach.
Built well over a century ago in response to very Victorian ideas of morality and seaside bathing, the bathing boxes remain almost unchanged. All retain classic Victorian architectural features with timber framing, weatherboards and corrugated iron roofs, though they also bear the hallmarks of individual licencees’ artistic and colourful embellishments.
Just try to resist pulling out your camera and snapping away, I for sure was not able to do that! Text from https://www.visitvictoria.com/
Here are few more photos of train stations and another popular transportation in the city – City Circle trams

Next place, Melbourne, first stop is Flinders Street Station. Opened on September 12th 1854, Flinders Street Station was the first railway station built in any Australian city. I especially liked the fixture of the station’s façade, the clocks date back to the 1860s and continue to display departure times today.

This is my last post about Sydney at this point. City skyline is the theme here. The day shots are taken on the Ferry to Manly.

I am still in the city of Sydney. the Sydney Opera House looked better in my opinion in the dark with lights on. Oddly enough I was not the only one taking photos of it 🙂 I tried to find different angles when taking the photos.

I like the shots with the boats best… Obviously the top one with the sail boat is my favorite.

We saw the Sydney Bridge during day and during night time. Near and far here are the some of the day shots.

We were rather tired the first day so we walked a bit, some street shots of Sydney few days before Xmas. Our first day and it was raining.

We were greeted in Sydney with this happy dude called Doug and kids of Leo entertaining the crowd by singing. So here are few street photos from George street. I was sitting on a bench as this little kid slept in his dads arms while mom was doing Xmas shopping. The pretty lady across the street just caught my eye.

We made it here, days have been so busy and long that the idea of doing a post did not even cross my mind. Here are some shots . I will be posting better quality photos when I m back home. here are few shots from Sydney

My feet are killing me. We have used the tram, ferry, underground and a taxi and walked around the city. All photos with the mobile phone.

Long long day and a sleepless flight, but here we are landed in Hong Kong.

I have to admit, I have been busy at work, so the idea of sitting down and opening the computer again has been rather hard, so here I am catching up. I have taken photos daily, most of them crappy. That is why I am not going to post them, I will cheat a bit. I will post some more from the circus as it was inspiring and it certainly helped the survival of this month.
So tasty, so good. Visited a great restaurant in Helsinki called Toca with work colleagues. Five course meal and wines to go with it. As I said, so delicious. Here are shot iPhone shots from some of the tastings. Herring, cauliflower, celery, all these not so mind blowing ingredients and they were so good…this was a good evening in November, no complaints here
Yesterday I jumped a day, today I went for moment of relaxation- a massage for my tense shoulders. On the way I spotted a one rose and rose hip.

It is that time of the year again that survival is definitely on my mind. The all consuming darkness drains me. I will survive, I will drive into the mist and disappear….

Music to beat November, Manhattan transfer in consert

It is that time of the year again that survival is definitely on my mind. The all consuming darkness drains me. I will survive, I have sunshine on the horizon in December. Most likely most of my photos will be by my mobile as the darkness does not really invite you to take photos unless you are in a city. I do not often go to Helsinki, but the day we got the first snow, not officially, it melted ½ hour before it could have been mentioned as first snow. I saw it and for me it was the first snow of the season. I have to admit I was not thrilled about it. Helsinki railway station in the evening is what I will share as my first post for November.
