So tasty, so good. Visited a great restaurant in Helsinki called Toca with work colleagues. Five course meal and wines to go with it. As I said, so delicious. Here are shot iPhone shots from some of the tastings. Herring, cauliflower, celery, all these not so mind blowing ingredients and they were so good…this was a good evening in November, no complaints here

Ever so happy to have pets. My cats are saving me at the moment. I took my camera for an outing today, but to get photos out of the camera, let’s nitpick, from the memory card is the problem. Veikka, my beautiful white cat came to save the day. A cat in a Box. We have dressed a cardboard box with an old t- shirt in a our hall, funnily enough, our cats enjoy it.

Saturday morning we drove the Helsinki, there is shoe store with very good service and knowledgeable personnel. In May, I one tendon split and other was torn on my left foot, unfortunately it has not healed. So, as our trip to Australia is approaching, I needed to find sandals / shoes that can accommodate my insoles that have been especially made for me. Story short.I got comfortable shoes, but they are not fashionable, that’s for sure. I am not posting photos of the shoes. Lunch, we had lunch and while waiting for the food to arrive I took few photos.

Thursday, was slightly colder and for the first time I took my winter coat on. This way I did not have to have so many layers of clothing on. Life is surprising, it’s always unpredictable, sometimes in a good way, other times not so much. The same applies to the weather. Were am I going with this… no idea. Here is my photo of the day. Tinka to the rescue

Mission accomplished
My oh my, laziness!
I have been busy at work and the result from that is, that I have been lazy at night. Watching television, I know it’s old fashioned, I have to correct myself, watching Netflix, same but different 🙂
Well, today I visited a store called Country White, looking for a parting gift. My boss is moving on, I can’t say I’m happy about it, as she has been a good one. Life goes on… Champagne Coolers was the thing I was looking for and I found one. So mission accomplished. I found something to take photos of.

Wow, time flies, only 12 days of this month a left. The sunrise this morning was 8:28 and the sunset is happening in 40 minutes at 15:45. The day time is 7 hours and 18 minutes long and 51 minutes of it is dusk.

What do you think about that? My thought about this is, that the days are still getting shorter until December 21st, YEP! Happy times? NOT! It’s all in your attitude I’ve been told, not true in my opinion, though it does not help if you complain about something you cannot change. Try to have a positive outlook I have been advised…and don’t to complain about this darkness, somebody has to, why not me 🙂

Sunshine !! I am so happy, today after many days of gray skies, drizzle or rain we had a half cloudy day, and yes, we got to see the sun and a sunset. It always amazes me the power the sun and light has. It was nice looking the other way you saw sun setting and in the other direction the half moon rising. It is now 16:37 as I stared doing this post and its dark outside.

Digital Art
One work week behind me, I can say I am happy its Friday! I don’t know why I once again started to do this November thing. I suppose it was a good idea at the time. I am in trouble with it now, as stated in the last post, my inspirations is as dull as the grey weather outside. What to post… today this is what I came up with. Digital art. I did not have to leave the house, working from home saved time, so I played with old images and created this colorful piece of something 🙂

Decorations that make the work place more personal
Yes, no inspiration. Sorry for being so , well boring. I was sitting at my desk at work and I thought that is what I can post, picture of some decorations on my desk. I mean, I am grateful I have a job, that makes it easier to survive and not just November . Well I am revealing more of myself in November than other months…interested or not. I tried the new way to do a post and edit the text, it did not work so smoothly…

It is that time of the year again that survival is definitely on my mind. The all consuming darkness drains me. I will survive, I will drive into the mist and disappear….

How to survive November 2018~1
It is that time of the year again that survival is definitely on my mind. The all consuming darkness drains me. I will survive, I have sunshine on the horizon in December. Most likely most of my photos will be by my mobile as the darkness does not really invite you to take photos unless you are in a city. I do not often go to Helsinki, but the day we got the first snow, not officially, it melted ½ hour before it could have been mentioned as first snow. I saw it and for me it was the first snow of the season. I have to admit I was not thrilled about it. Helsinki railway station in the evening is what I will share as my first post for November.
